Popcorn Lovers Will Rejoice This Holiday Season When They Reach for Johnson's Popcorn Mouthwatering Popcorn - Both Sweet and Savory Flavors Available to Ship Nationwide (Review)

Disclosure: I was sent samples from the vendor in exchange for an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.

Bring the delicious taste of the New Jersey Shore boardwalk directly to popcorn lovers everywhere with Johnson's Popcorn.

Since 1940, their mouthwatering caramel-coated popcorn has held a special place in the hearts of many.

Do you wait until after Thanksgiving to start thinking about Christmas?  Or, as soon as pumpkin spice drops at your favorite cafe and Christmas aisles start popping up in stores, do you start tuning into Hallmark and other channels to begin your binge of holiday movies?  It seems like each year, the movies begin playing earlier and earlier, some beginning as part of Christmas in July, and then continuing on through the rest of the year.  I remember as a kid my mom was addiment that we couldn't start decorating for Christmas or put the tree up until December 1st.  She wanted to have her Thanksgiving and not feel rushed.  As a kid I always hated that as I knew that as soon as the lights and tree went up, that meant full steam ahead for all things Santa and the holiday season.  It wasn't until I became a parent that I understood why she wanted to wait, as the holidays can be a stressful time, especially when you have to help the big guy out precuring each year's hot toys of the season.  My girls, like me as a kid, always ask as soon as September hits and we see Christmas aisles popping up alongside the Halloween costumes and decor, "Can we put the tree up?"  While the answer is always, "No," I do compromise and let them put up their little table top trees in their bedrooms, but they have to first decorate it for Halloween before moving onto Christmas ornaments.  And, we also find ourselves mixing Halloween and Christmas movies into the mix during our weekly family movies because why not! :-)  Unlike my mom, I don't mind keeping the Christmas tree up a little later into January, even though I know my husband is itching for it to come down and all the toys and presents gone from under the tree as soon as the last gift is unwrapped.  But, like I said before, his only task for the holiday is to bring the tree into the house from storage, and put it back out in the garage.  I do all the fluffing of the tree limbs, decorating the tree with the girls, and helping Santa shop for and wrap the gifts for everyone including his mom. :-)  So, he has to give me the extra time after the holidays as this truly is my time to enjoy the beauty of the season after the craziness that leads up to December 25th.

While I may do things differently than my mom during the Christmas season with my kids, there is still one thing I carry over from my childhood, and that is getting tubs of popcorn to have ready to munch one during December when we all snuggle up on the couch and watch holiday movies together.   As soon as I see the metal containers of kettle corn and the 3-flavor tubs available at the store, I am quick to snatch them up as I know they will be flying off the shelves soon enough, and we can't do holiday movie nights without popcorn.  Did you look for caramel corn, cheddar popcorn and other flavored popcorns in the metal tins growing up as a kid?  I remember my mom would buy a few for our house, as well as gift them to family to friends.  And, when people came to visit, they would always bring tins of Christmas candy (the ribbon candy was my favorite) or more popcorn.  We never complained as you couldn't have too much popcorn.  Plus, there was something about the popcorn that came in the metal tubs and even the plastic containers with the lids, that make the popcorn always taste so fresh like it was just popped and made, long after we opened the containers.

When COVID hit a few years back and we were all stuck home, the first Christmas just didn't feel the same...that was until we got a surprise package in the mail.  Both of my parents had been in and out of the hospital with COVID, and we knew we wouldn't be able to celebrate the holidays together. But, my mom didn't want to break from tradition and shipped us some kettle corn popcorn in a metal container for us to enjoy, and got her and my dad some, too.  Then, we would get on a Zoom call and watch holiday movies together and catch up, and just be together, even though we were in other states.  With COVID happening and not knowing what was to come or how long we would be in quarantine, it was nice to have a little normalcy and continue family traditions like enjoying popcorn and holiday movies together.

This year, I had the opportunity to sample popcorn from Johnson's Popcorn, that is based in the Ocean State, in Ocean City, New Jersey to be exact.

Created through meticulous air-popping and hand-churning in copper kettles, each batch guarantees exceptional quality and taste.

I had never heard of this company people, even though it was a couple states away.  Usually when we ordered popcorn in tins to ship to family all over the United States, I would find companies online and many were in Pennsylvania or in the western part of the country.  But, I am so glad to finally find a company to support in the tri-state area that is closer to me, and can ship to nearby New England states for my extended family and friends during the holidays.  Can you guess what I will be gifting family and friends who will not be traveling this year to visit for the holidays?  You guessed it....popcorn from Johnson's Popcorn.  After trying their popcorn firsthand, I was hooked after the first handful...and, so were my girls and husband.  I knew it was a hit when my husband was going back for seconds and thirds, as he is not really big into popcorn or sweets.  But, he couldn't stop talking about how tasty the popcorn was, especially the caramel corn and the peanut crunch flavors.  When reaching for the peanut crunch popcorn, he would point out the whole peanuts and not just tiny pieces you usually see in flavored popcorn tins, and would tell the girls and I that this was quality popcorn and not the kind we used to get in the stores.  And, you know what...I have to agree with him.  You can tell that the quality was spot on with each and every container of Johnson's Popcorn we were sent -- 3 tubs in total -- one cheddar, one caramel and one peanut crunch.  Two came in metal tins with whimsical and festive designs.

I remember my mom used to clean out the metal containers when we were little and would use them to store our dog's toys in one, our mittens and scarves in another, and always had a few extra stored away to fill with homemade baked goods and treats to store or bring to family and friends.  You could always find a use for these beautiful containers. :-)  In addition to the two metal containers, the caramel popcorn came in a plastic tub which had snowmen all around the outside.  It really was a cute design, and had me thinking of things I could fill the container with once the popcorn was in our bellies and all gone. :-)

Here are some photos I snapped of the caramel and peanut crunch popcorn.  I wasn't quick enough to snap a photo of the cheddar popcorn, as my youngest daughter grabbed the container as soon as I received the samples from Johnson's Popcorn a few weeks ago, and devoured it with her friends who were over to watch television with her.  They did leave me a few pieces so that I could try it and share my thoughts.  But, knowing that three girls were able to eat a whole container of cheddar popcorn in one sitting tells me it was good! :-)

This is a photo from Johnson's Popcorn website to show you just how good their cheddar popcorn looked.  Ours was sent in the small metal tin with a snowy scene, but the inside was filled to the brim with the melt in your mouth and oh so tasty cheddar flavored popcorn.  My mouth is watering right now just thinking about just how good it tasted, making me wish I had more to munch on. I guess I will be placing an order for more after I am done writing up this post before you guys buy it all up before I get an order in. :-)

Just look at the full size kernels and all the coating on the peanut crunch popcorn in the photos above. And, like my husband pointed out, you can see the whole peanuts in the peanut crunch popcorn container.  As soon as you took the lids of the three flavored popcorn containers, you couldn't help but have your mouth start to water, as the popcorns smelled so good. Then, like potato chips, it was hard to stop at just one handful.

Instead, you had to find a spot on the couch and either hold the popcorn tub in your lap or next to you if you felt like sharing, and then just kept reaching in for more popcorn.  It took a lot of will-power to not eat a whole container on my own -- but, I will not lie...I could have and I wouldn't have been ashamed! :-)  But, I like to share, and know just how much my girls and husband enjoyed Johnson's Popcorn, so I was happy to let them have some, too.! :-)

I can't wait to hear what family and friends think of Johnson's Popcorn when they try this popcorn for the first time this holiday season.  I know that one bite...or sniff for that matter...and they will be hooked like my family and I are.  I will definitely be stocking up to help get me through the cold winter months here in New England, as there isn't anything better than snuggling up under warm blankets on the couch with my family with the fireplace going in the background, watching a wonderful family movie together, while enjoying popcorn...and, not just any popcorn anymore...it has to be Johnson's Popcorn -- World Famous Quality Caramel Corn Since 1940.

The holidays are fast approaching, and soon will be the cutoff for getting online orders in to give time to ship and receive packages.  So, don't delay in getting your order for popcorn tubs/tins for you, your family and friends this holiday season from Johnson's Popcorn.  Don't take my word for it...try it for yourself and you, too, will be raving to family and friends about the Ocean State's best caramel popcorn, hands down! :-)
