Does your family do monthly subscription boxes? If so, what are your faves? When my girls were little, we would do all the STEM or arts and craft type boxes. But, as they got older, I found the boxes would arrive and just sit there before starting to pile up, as the girls were either busy or not interested in the different activities as they seemed to get repetitive over time. So, we took a break for a while, before trying monthly subscription boxes again. This time, though, instead of activity-type boxes, we wanted to try out the different food-themed boxes. We tried cookie of the month clubs, baking boxes, and international themed snack boxes. In the end, we seemed to gravitate more towards the international snack boxes as we liked doing family taste tests and trying out unique foods and snacks, we otherwise would never have tried or found in stores near us.
So, this year, when compiling my holiday gift guide, I wanted to share a new snack themed box we recently tried and LOVE! Have you heard about or tried Tokyo Treat?
I wasn't aware of this treat box filled with snacks, candy and food from Tokyo, but so glad I was able to try it, as this box is the best by far of all the international snack themed boxes we have tried over the years. Why? For one, the box is filled to the brim with an assortment of snacks and treats you can share with you family.
These are all full-size treats -- some even huge, like the pastries they include each month. Plus, the cost of the box is affordable. Depending on if you do a one-time box ($37.50) or go with a 3-, 6- or 12-month subscription, you can't go wrong with the price and all that you get.
Plus, be sure to check out their daily offers and promotional codes to save even more. I was able to get a $5 off coupon by signing up for their mailing list. And, for the holidays, they are offering up extra goods like Pokémon toys and keychains, Pocky and more (depending on the length of your subscription), by using promo code: XMASNY (Expires 1/15/25).
The kind folks at Tokyo Treat sent me their October Halloween box to sample with my family, and we had a blast trying out all the treats.
Just look at all the goodies we got...
I liked how they include a booklet explaining what everything is, so you know what each package is, plus this helps when you want to search online to order more of a treat you like from Amazon and other websites.
I can't get over their huge Kit Kat snacks -- you would never see these in the United States.
In addition to explaining what each of the treats in the box is, the booklet also includes fun Japanese facts about a particular holiday -- in the case of the Halloween box, they talked about Halloween in Japan, cultural facts, as well as share a monthly contest where you can win some cool prizes.
My girls really enjoyed reading threw this booklet learning about the treats, as well as attractions in Japan, and even things about Anime and Manga that my youngest daughter who is a huge fan had no idea about.
As soon as the last Tokyo Treat snack was sampled, both of my girls were quick to ask if I could sign up for more, as they wanted to keep getting this cool box full of tasty treats from Tokyo. And I couldn't' say, "No," as I was thinking the same thing. Another cool thing about the Tokyo Treat boxes is that every month they share a video showing you what you will be getting in the current box.
Check out what is include the December Tokyo Treat Box --
You have until Dec. 15th to order this box, so don't delay!
This was always an issue with other food boxes we tried, as we never knew what would be included, and if we had, we would have cancelled subscriptions early on, as many just didn't have things we would like or want to try. You would think knowing what was in a box wouldn't be a surprise anymore, but I really like knowing what you'll be getting, plus you get even more excited just waiting for your box to arrive so that you can try out these new tasty treats from Tokyo. When my girls saw the Christmas Tokyo Treat box video, they got so excited about the different holiday candies and pastries that are included in the box. We are planning to use the box, once it arrives as an advent of sorts, counting down until Christmas -- that is if we can limit ourselves to 1-2 treats per day to sample. I am not sure about this, thus my saying an advent calendar of sorts, as we may just try the whole box in one sitting. :-)
If your family loves monthly international snack subscription boxes and you have never tried Tokyo Treat, I highly recommend you give them a try. You will not be disappointed! And, like us, you will be amazed at just how many treats they are able to pack inside the box. It will not be sparely like other popular snack boxes or pay for certain number of treats per snack box size. For one price you get everything that is included in their sneak peek video they share -- and remember all treats are Full-sized Japan-exclusive snacks & candies! Sign up today and get excited for your first Tokyo Treat box to arrive to enjoy with your family. It has been a hit in our house, and I know you and your family will enjoy these rare and oh so tasty Tokyo treats.
