Are there places you have always wanted to travel to, but haven't been yet? For me, I have always wanted to go to Hawaii, to walk the beaches and enjoy the amazing food from the island. I was planning to go for a honeymoon, but was diagnosed with cancer and had to put everything on hold that year. Then, once things settled down and I was able to breath and plan life and plans again, we found out we were having our first daughter. The doctors said I would never be able to have children, so it was a blessing. Fifteen months after welcoming our first daughter, we welcomed our second daughter. And, with two little ones so close in age, a trip to Hawaii just wasn't doable for us. While I still haven't been to Hawaii, I have had the opportunity over the years to experience some of the foods from Hawaii thanks to businesses being able to ship nationwide, including The Maui Cookie Lady.
Recently, the Maui Cookie Lady surprised me with a box of her fresh baked small-batch cookies to enjoy with my family, and boy were we in for a real treat with these cookies.
I liked the special touch that was put into packaging the cookies sent to sample
You could really tell right out of the box that these super thick cookies are not like others you have probably seen or tested. Many of their cookies are infused with quality flavors and locally produced in Maui, and you can taste this with every bite.
The Maui Cookie Lady welcomes you to experience the aromas and flavors of the Island of Maui through her signature delights.
I know what you are saying, "These are just cookies." Well, they really aren't. Just look at how huge these cookies are?
They even have weight to them, so you know they are full of flavor and worth the cost of each cookie. Good luck in finishing off one cookie yourself. I ended up cutting the cookies up and sharing with my family, as they were just too heavy to eat a whole cookie myself in one sitting. But, that doesn't mean they weren't tasty. Each and every bite was full of mouthwatering flavor and had me wanting to go back for more, until I was just too stuffed.
The Maui Cookie Lady has been featured on the Food Network, Good Morning America, and in major print magazines including Forbes, Bon Appetit, and Inc., and after sampling the seven different cookie flavors I was sent recently, I can see why. Yes, they offer regular cookie flavors you are used to like chocolate chip and oatmeal cookie, but they also include fun seasonal cookie flavors and combination cookies you never would have thought of but are so glad the Maui Cookie Lady created such a tasty treat.
For Christmas, you can order the Candy Cane Forest (Limited Edition) while supplies last. This cookie is inspired by the Elf movie.
The 6 oz. velvet cocoa cookie has a peppermint chocolate molten center and is topped with crushed candy canes and mini marshmallows. Hawaiian sea salt balances out the sweetness of this cookie. This was the first cookie we sampled right out the box. We did microwave it for 10 seconds, and you should have saw the chocolate molten center ooze right out with each and every bite. Next to eating the cookie, the next best part was licking our fingers to get every ounce of cookie and chocolate off and into our tummies.
The next cookie we sampled was the Cinnamon Roll flavor. This 6 oz. “Cinnamon Roll” cookie has a rich base of browned caramelized sugar notes and fragrant.
It also includes white chocolate chips, organic raw sugar, soft stick cinnamon and Hawaiian Sea Salt, and can be enjoyed warmed in the microwave or right out of the package. We warmed the cookie, and WOW, did this cookie melt in our mouths. I am not usually a cinnamon roll fan, but I really liked it in cookie form. It had just the right amount of white chocolate chips and cinnamon. My daughters and I loved dipping this cookie in a cold glass of milk. Yum!
Next up we sampled the Oatmeal, Walnut and Dark Chocolate cookie. This ended up being my husband's favorite cookie. He usually likes oatmeal raisin cookies, but said after sampling this cookie, that he now prefers oatmeal, walnut and chocolate chip cookies over ones with just raisins.
This cookie was full of flavor, and every bite you got pieces of toasted walnut and dark chocolate, along with the extra thick rolled oats. A classic cookie just like grandma would make with extra thick rolled oats, dark chocolate and toasted walnuts. The Maui Cookie Lady also infuses this classic cookie with cassia cinnamon, soft-stick cinnamon, sweet anise, cool cardamom, rich mace and Hawaiian Sea Salt.
Unlike the other cookies I just mentioned, the next cookie we sampled is larger, at 8 oz. and boy was it huge, and took the four of us to eat it all up. But, we accepted the challenge, and were glad we did, as this Food Network fave cookie was also a family favorite of ours, too!
I will definitely be ordering more of the Da Half Baked cookies when I order more cookies from the Maui Cookie Lady. This cookie is a chocolate chip cookie stuffed with Reese's, Snickers & Oreo, oh my!
Comparing this cookie to an average chocolate chip cookie -- there is no comparison once you experience the Da Half Baked Cookie from The Maui Cookie Lady
If you love any or all of these chocolate treats, then you will love this cookie. I am not a big Snickers fan, but love anything and all things Reese's and Oreo, and the additional of the Snickers pieces really elevated the flavors of this classic chocolate chip cookie and paired well with the Reese's and Oreo pieces. Highly recommend this cookie for chocolate lovers!
I saved the Scrooged- Stuck at Home ( Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur & Browned Butter Maple Pecan) cookie for a late-night treat for my husband and I one Friday night, and it was a great way to wind down a busy week, and relax, while enjoying a super tasty cookie jam packed with flavor.
In addition to Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur, Candied Pecan, Browned Butter, Raw Organic Sugar, this butter rum cookie is also stuffed with a maple buttercream filling, along with butterscotch and semi-sweet chocolate drops. And, if that wasn't enough to add to a cookie, the cookie is finished with Hawaiian Sea Salt and topped with Kahlúa Chocolate Drizzle. Let's just say I already this cookie in my checkout at the Maui Cookie Lady for another sweet treat to enjoy with my husband. We both loved this cookie and wished we had more. One 6 oz. cookie was enough for the both of us!
The last cookie we sampled was the Lilikoi (Passionfruit ) White Chocolate cookie, which is also another best selling cookie and was featured in the Food Network's Official Selection 2024 Gift Guide this year.
After sampling this cookie, I could see first why it is a best seller for the Maui Cookie Lady, but also why the Food Network chose this cookie to feature in their holiday gift guide this year. This 6 oz. cookie utilizes the beautiful agriculture growing right on the Maui island. "Maui Lilikoi (Passionfruit) are a incredibly delicious tropical fruit that grows on vines here in Hawaii with a scent that whisks you away. The cookie's flavor is refreshing and complex with a tropical profile that is both astringently tart and sweet. This cookie is simple, classic and always a best seller." This is one of those cookies I would never have tried unless I traveled to Maui, or had the opportunity to have it shipped to me. And, now that I have sampled this passionfruit I really want to go to Maui and experience this delicious tropical fruit firsthand. Maybe one of these years we will make to the Hawaii. But, in the meantime, I am glad I stumbled upon The Maui Cookie Lady and can get my oversized cookie fix any time I want, thanks to their ship to door nationwide service. :-)
I just featured six of the fifteen flavors currently available on the Maui Cookie Lady website available for shipping nationwide and to Canada. But you have to act fast as this is the last week to get orders in to get your shipment in time for Christmas. Plus, many of the flavors, especially the limited-edition ones are selling out fast. So, don't delay in getting your order in today to ship to your home for your family to enjoy this holiday season. Or, if you are looking for a unique gift idea to ship to family and friends who are foodies, a surprise cookie box from The Maui Cookie Lady would make for a great gift idea.
The cookies have a shelf life of 2-3 weeks if left in the package but can last months if frozen. You can defrost and microwave for 20-30 seconds when you are craving a sweet treat, and they will taste just as fresh as the day you receive your order...I know this as I have frozen a few and each time we defrost and enjoy them, they taste amazing and like they were just baked. You can check the Maui Cookie Lady cookies available and place your order by visiting https://themauicookielady.com/. I can't wait to see which cookies you went with and what you thought of them. The hard part is just choosing the flavors to order, as they all look so good.
