Disclosure: I was sent samples from the vendor in exchange for an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.
As I wrap up my 15th annual holiday gift guide this week, I wanted to share one product that has come in handy these past few weeks, especially with the election, a rheumatoid flare up, and all the stress that comes with holiday prep and shopping, the craziness of work, and homeschooling my high school level girls on top of everything. If only there were enough hours in the day, I would gladly take a few more just to get more things done on my daily to do list and go to bed knowing the next day I had less to do. But, then again, I would probably find more things that need to get done or tended to, so my to do list would just grow again. Right?!
I have loved sharing all the amazing and unique products I stumbled upon and had samples so graciously sent my way to try out products firsthand -- remember I will not share a post just because a brand asks me to. I try out each and every product and usually only seek out products and brands that have products I would actually use or that I feel my readers want to learn about. So, as I researched and prepped for this gift guide, I knew I really wanted to have a lot of small businesses, mom and pop stores, mom entrepreneurs, women-owned and run, and made in the USA products. I am so happy to have found so many great products that became instant hits with my family and I, and that have helped to make my holiday shopping easier as I ended up buying more of these products to gift to family and friends. If you missed any of my gift ideas this year, you can find them pinned over in my 2024 Holiday Gift Guide over at Pinterest, and will find a link back to each product's personal review.
So, what product out of all the products sent to review this holiday season has been my go to each day? Have you heard of the Cozy💤™ blanket line? "No."...don't feel bad, as I didn't know about this woman-owned, disability-owned business, until I was approached by the owner and she shared all about her products for both adults and children, that are made especially for those with Raynaud's like me, and sensory sensitivities like my youngest daughter.
"Cozy💤™ was created for those needing warmth and grounding—whether it’s Raynaud’s, sensory sensitivities, anxiety, ADHD, or just dealing with the overall unsettledness so many of us are feeling right now."
The owner was gracious enough to send along a sample of her CozyThrow💤™ and CozyCo💤™blankets for both my daughter and I to try out, and we have been using them daily since receiving a few weeks ago. When I was first introduced to the Cozy💤™ blanket line I knew it would be great for my Raynaud's and my Rheumatoid Arthritis, but it is also great just for keeping warm during the cold months here in New England. Like I have shared in past posts recently, I am finding it harder and harder as I get older to deal with the cold temps. We aren't even in winter yet, but with the wind and snow we recently had, it sure does feel like winter. And I know it will only get colder, and I am not ready for that. But, thanks to the CozyThrow💤™ and the CozyCo💤™ blankets sent for my youngest daughter, I will be snuggling up and keeping warm on the couch with my girls by my side, as we watch the snow fall outside, and enjoy the comfort of these soft, high-quality cozy blankets, which have hand and foot pockets built in to keep your extremities warm. The fabric of these blankets is so gentle and calming and really feel like you are being wrapped in a loving hug each and every time you reach for them.
Our patented feet and hand pockets warm you from head to toe, like no other!
The exclusive hand pockets have finger & thumb openings allowing you to pick up and hold almost anything WHILE keeping your hands warm!
My youngest daughter has eczema, and it usually starts flaring when the cold sets in and we turn the heat on. So, for the past month or so, she has been lathering up with her medicated creams on her fingers, hands, arms, legs and even her lips, which are all chapped and irritated. Poor kid can't seem to catch a break, as it seems like whenever she gets one area under control, a new spot breaks out. And, like so many people, her dermatology appts keeps getting cancelled and rescheduled due to the doctor being sick or something coming up. Hopefully she gets in next week as I think she needs a stronger dose or maybe a new cream, as it shouldn't be taking this long to bring her flare under control. But, in the meantime, she has been reaching for her Cozy💤™ blanket as she says it feels good on her irritated skin and doesn't rub or irritate it like other blankets we keep on the couch to snuggle up with. And, she has been bringing her Cozy💤™ to bed to sleep with as she says it is so comfortable and really does keep her warm, without bothering her sensory sensitivities. Ever since she was little, she would peel off clothes and socks saying they were itching and didn't feel good on her. So, through trial and error we were able to find soft material brands and clothing she feels comfortable in and that doesn't cause her to feel itchy or bothered. And, when she tried out the Cozy💤™blanket that was sent to her for review, she smiled, and her eyes lit up as she really liked the fabric design and really wanted it to not bother her sensitivity. When she was wrapped up in and liked how it felt, she smiled even more and said she finally had a cozy blanket all her own. :-) Then, when I tried my Cozy💤™ blanket out, I could see why she loved hers so much. Wow, it was so soft and comfy. I instantly felt more relaxed and calmer while using my Cozy💤™ throw blanket.
Each day, I make a point to find time to take a little "me time" to decompress and relax and always grab my Cozy💤™ throw blanket to put on. It really helps to center me and melts the stress away, even if just for a little bit. It is crazy how something as simple as a Cozy💤™ blanket with built in hand and feet pockets can bring a zen-like feeling over your even when you are stressed to the max, or dealing with anxiety, ADHD or unsettledness.
But, I have tried it and so has my daughter, and it really works as soothing your senses and centering your emotions. Even with all the daily arthritis pain, it seems to ease up a bit when I slide into my Cozy💤™ throw blanket, and I am so glad I was able to experience some relief thanks to this innovative product. And, as I wrap up my guide, I thought it only fitting to end with a gift idea that will come in handy day in and day out, and be perfect for everyone on your holiday shopping list -- from the hard to shop for person, to your kids who may have sensory issues, ADHD, skin sensitivity like my daughter, Autism, etc. who require thoughtful gifts, or even something for you to help remind you to make time for yourself going into the new year, as we all deserve and need a little "me time" -- and the Cozy💤™ blanket can be a gentle reminder for to you slow down and just relax and destress. We have no idea what the new year brings, but we can make things a little more comforting when we reach for our Cozy💤™ blankets.
