Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and that means that families will gather around the table and catch up. Then, when you least expect it, someone will bring up politics and the recent election results, and that may start a ripple effect that will leave you wishing politics was left out of table chatter as people will not agree and heated words will be said that you can't take back. But, why not switch things up this year, and have VEEP playing in the background, or be ready to bring it up in conversation and get ready to have everyone laughing around the table and agreeing that Julia Louis-Drevfus was America's favorite VP, even if she said played it on television. I know many of us wish Julia's character could be our new VP in January, just to help put out political fires and make it fun watching news briefings, etc. But, while we all wait to see what the new administration will bring, why not just laugh away our worries and binge VEEP: The Complete Series, available for the first time, as of October 22nd, on Blu-ray.
This box set includes all 65 full-length episodes from the award-winning television series, that spanned a successful seven seasons. Not many sitcoms see seven seasons, but this one, full of a star-studded cast, and always delivering laughs week after week, effortlessly turned out seven amazing seasons. I was sad to see it end, but am so happy I now have the complete seven series on Blu-ray to watch whenever I want a good laugh. And, with the holidays fast approaching, and a new administration taking over in January, this series would make for a great holiday gift for fans of the series, or those just looking for a way to relax and have a good laugh in the new year. I, for one, will be bringing this along with pumpkin pie to our family's Thanksgiving dinner, and I know when things start to go haywire, I will have a saving grace of sorts, thanks to the VEEP. :-)
