My husband and I had a blast sampling the three sugar cube flavors that make up this new winter flavors holiday trio set.  We liked how you could add them to a variety of drinks, so with the temperatures dipping recently, we switched up our usually nightcap with a warm tea or coffee, but dressed up the drink by adding a sugar cube to the cup. I am not usually one to add sugar to my hot drinks, but my husband is. When he first saw the size of the sugar cubes he wondered if they would overpower the drinks or make his beverage too sugary.  But, he was pleasantly surprised that the sugar cube once dissolved just added a subtle sweetness to the drink along with the other flavor infused add ins like the rhubarb bits in the Celebration Sparkle Sugar Cubes, or the cinnamon, clove and vanilla extract in the Cinnamon Vanilla Sugar Cubes.  Out of the three sugar cubes varieties in this holiday trio set, my husband really liked the Orange Zest Cherry sugar cubes with his nightly whisky, while I was really enjoying the Cinnamon Vanilla Sugar Cubes, as they went well with both my morning coffee or evening black or green tea I would sip to help warm up by the fire.

Let me just say, these were my favorite, next to the cinnamon vanilla sugar cubes.  I have added these sugar cubes into my sparkling water and homemade lemonade, and love the extra bite of lemon zest and floral lavender notes.  It reminded me of a lavender lemonade I used to get in Savannah, GA while on vacation years ago.  I never could recreate the flavors at home and the little restaurant off the hidden path ended up closing down post Covid.  But, as I sipped on my lemonade with a Storied Goods sugar cube in it, I was transported back in time, and a calming feeling came over me, and I couldn't help but smile as I remembered all the wonderful memories we made in Savannah years ago --- hence my blog name and my first daughter's name, Savannah. Savannah will always have a special place in my heart, and now I can share my favorite flavored lemonade with my family and friends, thanks to the help of these handcrafted sugar cubes.
