Ever wondered the types of letters Santa gets each holiday season, outside of wish lists of toys from little boys and girls?  Well, thanks to a cute children's book, "Letters To Never Send Santa," from Moon Shower, an imprint of Bushel & Peck Books, Santa is sharing some of the most crazy letters he has been sent, just so you can see what not to write and chance ending up on the Naughty List this Christmas. :-)

Even though my girls are older, they still love sitting down and having me read to them, especially during the holidays, when we do our book advent, reading favorite holiday books we have acquired over the years, and continue to enjoy reading year after year together. And, I have to say, after reading this book with them, it will definitely be wrapped and added to the mix for many Christmas countdowns to come.  This book is such a hoot and will have both kids and adults laughing as they read through the different letters, which come from kids, parents, the elves, an accountant, and so many more.  Here are just a few of our favorite letters from the book. Let me know what you think of them, and which is your favorite...

Now that I think about it, why did I never wonder if Santa paid taxes or wrote off all the toys he was donating...I guess an audit is the cards for the big man this year. :-)

My youngest always asked why we were hanging dirty socks up for Santa to fill. She even sprayed them with perfume one year as she said they smelled. :-)

Sam is a smart kid...and nice, too, as he left a pencil for Santa. Now when the teacher asks who helped with his homework, does Sam say Santa?

Now that I am older, I have to side with these parents and their letter.  With all the money I have spent on toys for the girls, never once do they thank me.  Instead, they are sending thank you letters back to Santa at the North Pole and thanking him for his generosity and knowing what they wanted. Thanks a lot Santa!

Growing up I hated opening presents only to find new socks and underwear.  I would wonder why Santa was playing a cruel joke on me, as these weren't things I put on my wish list.  And, now that I have kids of my own, I love gifting them socks and underwear and seeing their responses.  It is one of the perks of parenthood and having to wake early on Christmas morning.

Were you laughing, too, as you read these letters to Santa?  Even the illustrations included with each letter were playful and fun. My girls and I really enjoyed this book the first time we read it, and now it sits on our coffee table in the living for all to enjoy. I know when friends and family stop by this holiday season, it will be hard for them to resist picking up this book and reading a few of the letters...if not all!  If you love sharing holiday stories with your kids, or do a Christmas book advent like us and want to add a new book to the mix, I highly recommend you pick up "Letters to Never Send Santa."  This picture book will have everyone in your house laughing, and give them an idea of what not to include in their letters to Santa this year. :-)
