Are you a fan of the best-selling board game, Catan?  If you are, or you know someone who is, then you will want to know about the new cookbook inspired by the game, "Catan: The Official Cookbook" released through Ulysses Press back on Sept. 12, 2023.  This cookbook will have fans of the board game going on a food expedition as they cook and bake their way through a wonderful assortment of fun and easy to make recipes, all inspired by this game.  From recipes like iron-skillet shrimp and blackened corn to a fire-roasted veggie grain bowl and even a mouth watering orchard apple  crips, the recipes that fill the pages of this hard-covered cookbook does an amazing job at paying "homage to the game, in which competitors try to build settlements on a fictional island using five resources: wool, grain, lumber, brick and ore."

As part of our weekly game nights the past couple weeks, I have been making a point to make a few recipes from this cookbook to share with my family as we sit down to play a rounds of Catan.  With the holidays fast approaching, I see this official Catan cookbook being a huge hit with fans of this board game, young and old.
