Last Wednesday my family and I headed into the city to take in the "Twas the Night Before..." by Cirque du Soleil, playing at The Boch Center Wang Theatre.  I love visiting Boston this time of year with all the lights up in the parks, ice skating at Frog Pond, and walking around and checking out the holiday windows at Macy's at Downtown Crossing.  So, we made a point to arrive a little early on Wednesday for dinner and quick walk around.  I couldn't believe how many people were in the Theatre District taking in a show. It was so nice to see after COVID shuttered everything the past few Christmas seasons.

Even though I watched promotional videos for this special holiday production, which runs through Dec. 11th, I was surprised at how great the show was.  I have lost count of how many Cirque du Soleil productions I have seen over the years, but I can say, that "Twas the Night Before..." by Cirque du Soleil in my top three. What I really liked about this show, next to it being holiday themed with lots of festive music you couldn't help tap your feet along to, and also all the holiday props and scenery on the stage, was that this show was centralized on one theatre stage. Unlike arena shows, I didn't have to worry about missing different parts of the show as I could only focus on one area of the action. The way this show was set up on The Boch Center Wang Theatre stage really made for a more enjoyable viewing experience. Even my husband and girls agreed, as we talked about our favorite parts on the drive home.

Don't worry, I will not spoil all the fun and excitement that this show brings. But, what I will say is that we are planning a trip back to see the show this weekend with my parents, and then will head over to the park to skate.  This show will WOW both kids and adults, and is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.  Tickets start at only $30, and every seat in the house is a great seat, with views of the stage, so you will not miss any of the action.  Like I said, this show is only running through Dec. 11th (this weekend), so don't delay in getting your tickets for you and your family to enjoy this one of a kind holiday-themed show from Cirque du Soleil.  This is one show you will be talking about for years to come!
