When it comes to family game night, I find that in our house, we are more card game based games, over board games.  It seems that whenever we pull out a board game to play, we end up playing it for what seems like hours, without an end in sight.  But, when we reach for a card game, these games go quick, and have us wanting to play a few rounds in one sitting.  That was the case the other night when I introduced Stomp the Monster from Ridley's Games to my family.  At first they didn't think it was a game, based on the packaging.  My youngest said the Sasquatch was too cute to be a game. But, then I opened the plastic container up and showed them the cards inside. After a quick lesson on how to play, we were off playing the game and having so much fun.

The object of the game is to find two batteries and have the camera in front of you to snap a picture of Stomp to win!  Sounds easy, right!...well, this fast paced snap game will have you on the edge of your seat with each card in play.  If you are highly competitive or get overly excited with fast paced games, then be warned, this game will definitely have you riled up and ready to win, win, win!  As soon as the my youngest daughter won the first game, my oldest daughter and husband were both quick to chime in that they wanted to go another round, as they wanted to win.  It went on like this for over an hour, and each new round brought out more competitiveness from the family in a good way. It made the game that much more fun, as we were all trying our best to gather up the cards we needed to win.  We could have played this game all night, if it wasn't for other games also sent for review that we have to give a try.

Since playing Stomp the Monster together, I have found my two girls playing this game when they are bored, or looking for something fun to do. Game play lasts about 10-15 minutes, so they are able to get a handful of rounds in at a time.  This game is geared towards ages 6+, and needs a minimum of 2 players (maximum of 5) to play.  The game is also small enough to fit in your child's stocking this holiday season, and will be one of those gifts that they will play with time and time again, without getting bored with it. So, if your kids loved card games like my girls do, then I highly recommend you check out Stomp the Monster from Ridley's Games.

More about this game:

"See who's the best at monster spotting in this snap card game Stomp the Monster from Ridley's Games!

You and your friends are out searching for the elusive Stomp, the Monster. But on your trek, you've lost your batteries and only have one working camera between you all!

The aim of the game is to be the first player to find two batteries and have the camera in front of you to snap a picture of Stomp to win!

As you play, you'll want to try to collect batteries by either getting a double battery card or winning a snap on a numbered card that features batteries on it, as when you do you get to keep that battery card. And each time there is a snap, the camera card moves to the next player. So you'll want to have collected two batteries and have the camera card in front of you when the Stomp card comes up, for if you do, you've won!

Packaged in a Sasquatch style container, this game is perfect for families and groups of friends, for Halloween or year-round monster fun!"
