My husband and I have been vegging out in front of the TV at night after the girls are in bed and after doing some holiday wrapping, and have been watching the amazing new Rick and Morty: The Complete Fifth Season, which arrives tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 7th on Blu-ray, DVD and Blu-ray Steelbook. I was sent the Blu-ray Steelbook from the kind folks at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, and love it. I am always a fan of steelbook cases as they look cool and really set a collection apart from other DVDs on our movie shelf. And, this is the first steelcase we have of the Rick & Morty DVDs we own. Hopefully they come out with the previous 4 seasons in a steelcase, as that would look really nice on my shelf in the living room. :-)
If you watch Adult Swim, then you have probably seen the Rick and Morty show. It airs late in the evening where we live, and I stumbled upon a couple years back. Ever since, I have made a point to watch it when it airs on TV, as well as pick up the DVD collections of the previously aired seasons, so that my husband and I can watch. We were finally caught up with the seasons, and were just waiting for the complete fifth season to arrive on Blu-ray so that we could binge the season without having to deal with commercials on streaming. In addition to the 10 episodes that make up season 5, this collection also includes amazing bonus content including a making of season 5 featurette, insides the episodes, b-story generator, and so much more. We have been watching an episode and then enjoying a couple of the bonus content each night since receiving the screener. What a great way to end a night -- a great show, that will have you laughing, and able to unwind and relax. If you haven't seen Rick & Morty, but like Adult Swim content, I highly recommend you check the series out, and start by picking up this Blu-ray steelbook or DVD of Season 5, which releases tomorrow.
