I grew up watching and reading Clifford the Big Red Dog, and now am excited to share one of my favorite childhood characters with my girls. This past weekend we snuggled up on the couch for our weekly family movie night and watched the new release from Paramount Home Entertainment, Clifford the Big Red Dog, which released to Digital on Dec. 14th and arrives to Blu-ray and DVD in time for Valentine's Day on Feb. 1st. This is one movie my girls have been eagerly awaiting as they both love dogs, and enjoyed me sharing some of my Clifford books from my childhood with them when they were younger. And, this movie didn't disappoint! It was truly a fun-filled movie that will delight kids and adults of all ages.
I am really impressed with what they can do with movies nowadays and how they can bring to life things like Clifford the Big Red Dog to the big screen in a playful and realistic way. We watched the bonus content which showed how this movie was made and the way the puppeteers controlled the Clifford made and really brought it to life. As soon as the movie started to play, all eyes were glued to the screen. I kept looking over at my girls throughout the movie and they were always smiling, and I could see they were really enjoying the movie. Once the movie was over, both of my girls were quick to ask if we could watch it again, before saying how they would love to get a dog like Clifford.
