Get Ready To Speed-Watch The Flash: The Complete Seventh Season - Now Available to Own On Blu-ray & DVD (Review)

Disclosure: I was sent a screener from the folks at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment in exchange for an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.

Next to having all this unexpected family time, I have to say the next best thing that came out of the whole Covid epidemic was being able to play catch up on shows and movies I have missed over the past months and eeekkk years.  Thanks to my husband, he got both of my girls and I hooked on CW's $1 series, The Flash, when he started to watch it from Season 1, all the way to the 7th season, which I was lucky enough to get the complete seventh season on Blu-ray recently, thanks to the kind folks at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. I have read that there will be 10 seasons in total of this show, with the 8th season airing this fall.  I am crossing my fingers that this is true, as we just wrapped season 7 and I hate cliffhangers, and need to know what happens next.

If you were like me and never sat for an episode of The Flash, which aired on the CW, you truly have been missing out. Not only is the show made up of a stellar cast that really work well with each other, but the story line from each and every episode really pull you in and have you sitting on the edge of your seat to see what happens next. I was always rooting for Barry Allen/The Flash, and as the seasons went on, hoped that his marriage would stay intact as Barry and Irish really were a match made in heaven, and I loved watching them on screen with their love story and how they worked well together at headquarters.

Like I said, my husband got us hooked on The Flash, and with all our time together thanks to Covid, we would pencil in time after dinner to watch a few episodes as a family.  It was always hard to call it a night, as it seemed as the episodes played on, they got even better, and had you wanting to see what happened next.  It took us a little over 8 months to watch each and every episode -- we just wrapped season 7 last week.  And, while season 7 was good, I have to say I preferred some of the earlier seasons, as those were when the story lines were starting to be played out, and we met the new evil characters and additions to the team.  But, that doesn't mean season 7 wasn't good -- all 18 episodes grabbed you and pulled you in, and have you wishing that The Flash came out on top.  I really liked the gag reel, deleted scenes and bonus content that are included with the complete seventh season collection.  We watched all this bonus content over the weekend, and it made us want to get the previous six seasons on Blu-ray just for the extra bonus content, as well as be able to binge the series again, whenever we wanted...or had extra time on our hands. ;-)

If you started watching The Flash back when it first started airing on the CW, but missed some seasons in between, I highly recommend you make a point to catch up now, and grab this new complete seventh season, to get your caught up.  I really enjoy this series, and can see why it remains a hit series for the CW.
