My youngest daughter is counting down the days until October 1st -- not because she is excited for October and Halloween to get here, but, because that is when Hotel Transylvania: Transformania arrives in theaters. She is a huge Hotel Transylvania movie fan, so is over the moon excited about another movie to release, and eventually get released to DVD (so she can grab and add to her growing collection). But, October seems so far away, especially to a 10 year old. So, she is keeping herself busy as she counts down the days to this much anticipated movie release by reading the movie novelization of the movie, which was recently released by Simon & Shuster. Like other movie novelization books, this book is almost identical to the movie, so it gives readers a good picture of what will happen in the movie -- without giving away all the good parts.
It took my daughter a little over an hour to read this book, as she couldn't put it down. She wanted to see how it ended -- don't worry I will not share any spoilers -- and, once done, was even more excited for the movie. Like other movie novelization books released by Simon & Schuster, this book also contained a handful of full color images straight from the movie. My daughter loved checking these sneak peak scene images out, and pictured in her head how the movie would play out. Now that she is done with the book, she is ready for the movie to arrive in theaters, and can't wait to read this book again after see watches the movie.
If you have a Hotel Transylvania movie fan in your life who is eagerly awaiting the release of the upcoming Hotel Transylvania: Transformania movie release on October 1st, I highly recommend you pick up this book and surprise them with it. It is a great way to tide them over while they wait for the movie release, and will get them to read. So a win-win for both parent and child. :-)
