I just shared a fun magnetic animals book for kids that is releasing from Chronicle Books, but wanted to share another animal book in case you have older kids (5-8 years old and older), that is also worth checking out.  Leave it to the folks at Chronicle Books to release fun interactive books for kids that are not only fun to read and interact with, but that also teach kids about different topics -- in this case, animals.

"The Ultimate Book of Animals" is really a great combination of interactive features that older kids will enjoy. From lift the flap to flipping the page to real a super cool pop-up animal that looks like it is hopping off the page, to pull tabs that make wings and ears flap, this book has it all.  My two girls were so excited to sit down to read this book, after seeing on the cover that it contained over 50 flaps, pop-ups, pull-tabs, and more to interact with, all while learning about different animals.

My girls ended up sitting on the couch together for over an hour reading this book cover to cover, and taking time on each page to admire not just the colorful and realistic illustrations of the different animals, but also take time to read all the facts shared about the animals and how they survive in the water. I couldn't get over just how much information filled the pages of this book. It really is chock full and will delight animal lovers of all ages.  My girls are older than the recommended 5-8 years old, but found themselves learning new things and having a blast lifting flaps, pulling tabs and admiring the super cool pop up features that fill the pages of animal book.

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to check out this book up close. It is a must have for animal lovers, and will become a great reference book for kids as they progress through elementary school, learning about animals, their natural habitats, and how they use their different body parts to survive.  If you have any animal lover in your life, or your kids, like mine, love interactive books that offer lift the flap, pop ups, etc., then you'll definitely want to pre-order this book, which releases next week (August 31st) from Chronicle Books.

More about this upcoming lift-a-flap, pop-up and pull tab book all about animals:

"Creatures of land, sea, and air—including elephants, spiders, snakes, falcons, and whales—fill the pages of this interactive book, providing a fascinating overview of how animals grow, see, hear, move, and more!

With detailed information thoroughly researched and vetted by an industry professional, the book includes more than 50 flaps, pop-ups, pull-tabs, and rotating wheels.

Pull a tab to spot prey through the eyes of an eagle, turn the page for a 3-D look inside a wolf’s mouth, or rotate a wheel to see the life cycle of a butterfly. An immersive and satisfying hands-on learning experience, The Ultimate Book of Animals is an essential reference and a valuable addition to the Ultimate Books collection."

  1. I have a grandson who is in that age range and fascinated with animals. Looks like a fun, yet educational book.
