We all have at least one person on our holiday shopping list who is hard to shop for as they claim they have everything. Well, I am here to making shopping for that person a breeze this year, thanks to the Stupid Car Tray. I have to admit that when I first heard the name of the product, I didn't think it was a real thing. Then, I checked out the website and saw that it was. I was left intrigued and wondered if this was something that would be useful and helpful. So, I reached out to request a sample, and a few days later received my Stupid Car Tray to try out. It couldn't have come at a better time, as my youngest daughter was turning 9 years old, and I had to run out on my own (as I wanted it to be a surprise), and pick up her birthday cake from a local home cake maker. Usually I buy market cakes, but seeing that Covid has caused most holidays and occasions to be cancelled this year, I thought I would surprise my daughter with a specialty cake of one of her favorite animals, a raccoon.
At first I was hesitant to go and pick up the cake alone as I was afraid it would shift around on the passenger car seat, or in the backseat, without someone helping to hold it in place. I was going to bring my oldest daughter, but didn't think she could keep a secret. So, I decided to put the Stupid Car Tray to the test, and bring it with me to secure her birthday cake in place as I drove home through windy back roads.
The Stupid Car Tray comes with straps to hold things in place, but because of the size of the cake box, I wasn't able to secure it around the cake box. But, I did find that the base of the tray was doing a great job in keeping the box in place as I drove home.
I will admit, I was nervous that a sharp turn would shift the cake, but the Stupid Car Tray did its job and kept the cake in place and safe all the way home. I was so relieved when I got home and saw my daughter's reaction to her surprise birthday cake.
And, I couldn't have delivered to in one piece without the help of my Stupid Car Tray, which after using, can't believe I ever lived without it. And, for now on, I will definitely be bringing my Stupid Car Tray with me for coffee/cocoa runs, and when we return back to outside homeschool classes and I do my blogging in the car. I like how it has a holder for a drink, car keys, pens, notepads or even a cell phone with portable charger.
The large spacious top is perfect for a make shift desk on the go. My daughter has also been using the Stupid Car Tray when she is doing her online classes, and is sitting on the couch. She has her laptop next to her, and then uses, the Stupid Car Tray as her desk, to take notes, complete writing assignments, etc. on the tray. She loves being able to have a place for her pens and pencils without them rolling all around, enough space to write or draw comfortable, and even have a holder for snacks or a drink. Seeing just how much she likes using the Stupid Car Tray, I can see this being a great gift ideas for kids and adults, and for use at home and on the go.
I am so glad I didn't' disregard this product and think it was a joke when I saw the name, and took the time to try it out, as I love it, and have so many uses for it, as does my family. I will definitely be buying more so that each of my girls will have their own Stupid Car Tray, as well as get another one so that I can leave in my trunk, and have ready when I need an extra hand in the car, to keep take out orders and drink steady, or when I return to working in my car while my girls are at classes or sports.
