(That's a 45% savings -- for a limited time!)

In addition to setting the Thanksgiving table with fancy napkins rolled up as roses the other day, I also put out my new Shantiva copper water pitcher.  The shiny copper pitcher really stood out on our wood table, and was well received by everyone at the table, who poured chilled water from it into their glasses.

Now, I know what you are saying, it is just a water pitcher.  Well, yes it a water pitcher, but not plain at all.  Just look at the photo above and the sheen and sparkle of the copper.

Each and every Shantiva copper water pitcher is handmade by artisans who use sustainably-sourced copper. It is built to last a lifetime, which is great for Eco-conscious people looking to purchase products that don't need replacing, and can be used over and over again.  And, don't worry about cleaning and preserving this copper pitcher.  With a little warm water and squirt of dish soap every once in a while, you will keep your copper water pitcher clean. Or, if you find it losing its shine, take a little lemon and rub it all over to bring the shine back to this beautiful copper water pitcher.

In addition to looking amazing and standing out on the dining room table at supper, or on your kitchen counter when you have guests over, this copper water pitchers, also offers health benefits of drinking water out of this copper pitcher .

Here are just a few health benefits that make the Shantiva copper water pitcher a great investment that is not only
supports the environment, but is good for you...

  • "Copper is anti-bacterial, acts as an effective anti-oxidant, improves immunity, supports good health, prevents aging, eliminates toxins and free radicals, and stimulates the brain.
  • Since time immemorial, yogis have enjoyed water the holistic way - stored in copper vessels. Copper cannot be produced within the body and needs to be sourced from external sources.
  • Drinking copper infused water (which is known as "Tamra Jal" in Ayurvedic medicine) has endless benefits and is recommended by health professionals around the world. Copper water has been used in India for centuries and now it's your time to reap the benefits.
  • The pure copper lid is capped with a gorgeous brass knob. This pitcher has also been handcrafted with a handle that has been welded (rather than riveted) to the body of pitcher, which leaves it intact on the inside and ensures that it remains water-tight and leak-free.

Features of the Shantiva copper water pitcher:

  • Our 1.5 liter pitchers are approximately 7.25 inches in height (to the top of the brass cap) and approximately 4 inches in diameter.
  • Our 2.1 liter pitchers are approximately 7.5 inches in height (to the top of the brass cap) and approximately 4.5 inches in diameter.
  • The pitchers and the lids are hammered after they are made to increase the surface area that touches the water which enhances the health benefits.
  • As a unique handmade artisan creation, your copper pitcher may have slight imperfections and vary slightly from photos shown."

I make a point to fill my Shantiva water pitcher every evening before I go to bed, so that when my family wakes in the AM, they have chilled water, ready to pour and enjoy.  Usually I fight with my girls to stay hydrated during the day time, as well as drink water instead of juices or lots of milk, especially now that we are home 24/7.  As soon as they open the fridge, the shiny copper water pitcher catches their eye, and they will reach for it, to fill a glass with water. My girls prefer chilled water over tap water from the sink, and I love how I can just refill this pitcher throughout the day, without any waste, compared to filling my fridge with plastic disposable water bottles from the market.  Yes, these water bottles are nice for convenience and when we are on the go and need to bring water with us.  But, I always hate all the waste I have at the end of the week with all the plastic from the bottles my family goes through.  Now that we are home, I like having this pitcher filled and ready for my family, and not having to worry about recycling unnecessary plastic come trash/recycle day.

While my girls are not realizing the benefits of switching to the Shantiva copper water pitcher, they are noticing that they are drinking more water. They are feeling more hydrated and having softer lips and skin, thanks to the extra water intake.  And, I have shared with them some of the health benefits that I mentioned above, including its anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant benefits.  They say that is cool, not really caring about it...but, as a parent, I appreciate knowing this and knowing that just by adding the Shantiva water pitcher to our house it is offering our family so many benefits, both health and environmentally.

If you are looking for a unique gift idea for that hard to shop for person in your life this holiday season, or want to stop using all the wasteful plastic bottles or say goodbye to plastic pitchers that you have had for years, and now seem to have a smell to them, or you have to wash more and more as they are starting to get moldy or discolored, why not consider picking up a Shantiva copper water pitcher? Now is the perfect time to purchase these water pitchers as Shantiva is offering 50% off all their pitchers for a limited time, as part of their Black Friday special.  So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to the Shantiva website and order a copper water pitcher for your family, as well as for those left to shop for on your holiday shopping list.  This is one gift that will be well received, and be enjoyed for years to come.
