We have been studying world geography this year as part of our homeschooling, and I have been looking for the perfect maps book to share with them, that would get them excited about exploring a map. Many map books I have looked at were boring, or were just too wordy, and I knew that my girls would not want to study the maps. But, then I was sent Maps: Deluxe Edition, which features 66 countries, and was blown away about how cool this book. They include sights, famous people and to other beautiful illustrations to the full color maps, which will get kids excited to look at each country's map further, and see if they can identify the places, people and animals.
Even when we aren't using this book for schooling, I oftentimes find my girls pulling it down from the bookshelf to look at on their own, as they love the colorful illustrations, and how the countries, both big and small, are represented in a fun way.
Explore the world anew with this lavish extended edition from the incomparable Mizielinskis. This book features new and updated material on every spread and twenty-four entirely new maps. In addition to geographic features like borders and cities, this volume features places of historical and cultural interest, eminent personalities, cultural events, and iconic animals, allowing you to explore the globe without leaving your couch."

With many kids doing remote/hybrid learning this year, and not having access to their school's library for reference for projects, this would be a great reference book to have at home for them to use when studying geography or needing to locate a country, or see which animals and places are associated with a particular country. I am so glad I had the opportunity to review this book, and can't stop raving about it to other homeschool moms and teacher friends I know. It is hard to find a good maps book, but now that search is over as I have this amazing book that will be used by my girls for years.
