Do you have your Christmas tree up yet? We ended up sticking our up Halloween night as Halloween was cancelled in our area, and the girls just wanted to move on to Christmas, knowing that Santa wouldn't be cancelling Christmas. As we put up the Christmas tree, we started to watch some of our family's favorite holiday movies, before starting to wrap them and some new movies to use as part of our annual Christmas movie advent countdown, where we unwrap a movie each night leading up to Christmas. On Christmas Eve we always watch two classics before heading to bed early, so Santa can come. This year, we have a fun new holiday movie that we will be adding to our movie advent -- Charlie’s Christmas Wish -- which arrives to DVD, Digital and On Demand this upcoming Tuesday, November 10th. We had the pleasure of watching this heartwarming holiday movie yesterday, and we all loved it, even my husband, who is not usually a fan of corny holiday movies. He said that this movie had a great story line and really warmed his heart. Like the girls and I, he was hooked as soon as the movie started playing, and couldn't wait to see how it ended. Don't worry, I will not spoil the ending for you. :-)
If you are not familiar with the movie, here is more about it, including the official trailer...
"In this heartwarming holiday film starring Aiden Turner (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), a troubled war vet’s family finds new hope from a scrappy little rescue dog. Discharged and sent home for the holidays, John (Turner) tries hard to adapt to civilian life—and to son Jimmy’s new pet, a feisty terrier named Charlie. As the family meets other struggling local veterans, they know it’ll take a miracle to bring peace to them and to John. Good thing Charlie has a direct line to the Man Upstairs…"

I love when we stumble upon new holiday movies to add to our family's collection of must see movies each year, when the holidays roll around. This movie really does pull at your heartstrings, but will also leave you feeling happy you sat and watched it. I could go on and on about how great this movie was, and how everyone in your house no matter their age, will love it, and want to watch it time and time again...but, instead, why not pick up this movie when it becomes available on Tuesday, and see for yourself. I know you will love it, too!
