If you are into horror and fantasy type movies, then you will want to check out new release, "New Mutants," which arrived to Blu-Ray, DVD, 4K Ultra HD and Digital on Tuesday, Nov. 17th. I was sent a screener of this movie, and was so excited to watch it, as it has been on my watch list of upcoming movie releases.
This X-Men style thriller introduces to 5 teenagers who have unique powers and find themselves locked up in a detention hall. They show up looking for Dr. Reyes to help them with their powers and to get over the guilt they feel of killing someone once their powers set in. But, instead they are locked up ass that is when the thrills and chills start to happen, leaving on the edge of your seat.
This movie was delayed before, but I was still hoping for its release as the story line was good. Yes, there is a dance montage in the film, which will make you think, ahh, come on, but, over this was a good film, and one that lets your drain out everything else going on in the world right now, as you watch these teens try to escape this prison.
My husband and I watched it the other night and found ourselves enjoying it. Don't expect an over the top X-Men style movie, but instead a group of misfit kids who come together because of their crazy powers, to try and break out of the play they are sent that was supposed to help them. There are ups and down throughout the movie, and it moves along well. If you have been looking for something new to film the movie void in your life, you'll want to check The New Mutants film, available now.
