After school today, I surprised my girls with a new umbrella and an advanced screening of Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite!, which arrives on Digital tomorrow, and then to Blu-ray and DVD on October 13th.
Both of my girls are animal lovers, and love movies that have animals in them, especially when they talk. And, they have watched the previous two Cats & Dogs movies, which came out back in 2001 and then in 2010. To say they have been eagerly awaiting the final installment in this popular family-friendly movies series is an understatement. They were planning to pool their allowance tomorrow so that I would buy the digital movie for them to watch. So, when I surprised them with the umbrella and then said we had early access to the movie, they couldn't help but jump all around and scream with excitement. :-)
Here is a quick video I took of my oldest showing off their new umbrella thanks to the kind folks at Warner Home Bros. Right after she filmed this, I shared the news of the advanced screening. I knew they would scream, so I opted to skip recording that and save your ears. Mine are still ringing. :-)
It has been a couple years since I have sat to watch the Cats & Dogs movies, but as this new installment began, I started to remember back to all the fun adventures these talking animals went on. Even though these movies are geared to younger kids with the talking animals, older kids like my two girls, who are almost 9 and 10, still enjoyed it. They even threw in jokes that adults will get throughout the film, that will keep you laughing as well, as you watch this cute movie with your kids.
Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite! has a run time of 80 minutes and is rated PG, which makes it perfect for the younger audience. In addition to cats and dogs, this movie also features other cute animals, all which talk. My girls really enjoyed the movie, and said it never got boring. They loved seeing the cats and dogs working together to save the world, without the humans ever finding out. Gwen the Cat and Roger the Dog will steal your kids' hearts from the start, and have them rooting them on all throughout the film. By the time the movie ended, my girls were asking to buy the movie tomorrow so that they could watch it again and again. They really enjoyed this movie, and said compared to the other two Cats & Dogs movie, this one by far was their favorite. They especially loved the bloopers at the end, and the extra bonus content - so be on the lookout and make sure you check these out with your kids.
If you are looking for a fun family-friendly movie to share with your whole family, and love movies with talking animals, then you will definitely want to check out Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite!, when it arrives on Digital tomorrow, and then on Blu-ray and DVD on October 13th. We can't wait to watch this movie again, and know that once you sit and watch it, you'll want to watch it again, too!
