I was so excited when I opened the mail the other day and saw this book from Macmillan Children's Publishing Group.  And, I was even more surprised that there were other books in this Show-How Guides series from Keith Zoo and Odd Dot.  If you have girls, then this is a must have show-how guide book to learning how to braid hair...not just your girl's hair, but also their dolls, too. My girls have long hair, but they have never shown interest in having their hair braided, until they started collecting and playing with American Girl girls. After that, they wanted to have their hair braided like their dolls, or braid their and their doll's hair so they could be twins. I can only do the basic 3 strands of hair braiding, but my girls would show me other braids they wish they could have.  I looked at the so-called step by step illustrations but they were all so complicated, and I was lost after the first few steps.  Then, I looked at this book, and it was like a light bulb went on in my head and in no time I was whipping out fancy and cool braids that my girls were so impressed with, as was I.

Here is more about this new Show-How Guides Hair Braiding handbook, which arrives on book shelves on August 25th from Odd Dot.
