Even though the pendant necklace arrived in a small box, what was inside the box was truly stunning...
I couldn't help but smile as I took the necklace out of the box and looked at the girls name circling the bottom of the sterling silver heart. And, the addition of their birthstones made this the best Valentine's Day gift, as it was a heartfelt gift and one that was hand crafted just for me, to symbolize two of my loves, and they wouldn't be here if I hadn't met and fallen in love with my husband back in college 20+ years ago. In addition to celebrating our love for one another, my husband and I also celebrate our two girls, as they are both miracles and what made us a complete family. After battling cancer in 2008 and being told that I had a 50/50 chance of surviving, let alone having little chance for children as I was undergoing radiation and chemotherapy, looking at my girls each and every day, along with my husband, reminds me that life is precious and that miracles do happen. I sit here typing up this post celebrating 12 years in remission from a rare cancer, and feeling blessed each and every day I wake, and get to enjoy another day with my family, and make more memories with them.

Looking down at this beautiful hand stamped necklace I haven't taken off my neck since receiving a week ago, I am reminded of my girls, and the love I have for them.
