I was recently sent an advanced copy of this movie on Blu-ray/DVD to watch. I would watch this television series each week, and also have been waiting for the motion picture release. I have to say that I really love this movie, probably more than the acclaimed series. Maybe it is because the movie plays in its entirety, without me having to wait each week to see what happens next. I don't know about you, but I hate when I get hooked on a series, and can't binge watch it to see what happens next.
In addition to the movie, which is described above, I really enjoyed the 30+ minutes of bonus content of this upcoming release, which includes deleted scenes, cast conversations, featurettes and a feature commentary with director, Michael Engler. All the bonus content was really fascinating and fun to watch, especially the "Downton Abbey Series Recap.
I don't want to give too much away about this motion picture, for those who haven't seen it, including my mom who is probably going to read this post. :-) Instead, I just wanted to share about the upcoming release date of Dec. 17th, so that fans of Downton Abbey can pre-order this Blu-ray + DVD + Digital release for themselves, or to gift to that special Downton Abbey fan in their life this holiday season.
