Today was a great mail day, or so my youngest daughter said!  After tuning in on November 5th to the new fourth season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power from DreamWorks Animation, streaming on Netflix, my daughter was surprised with a fun mailer sent from DreamWorks.

After first stumbling upon this animated series last year, my daughters have been playing catch up watching the first three seasons of this popular animated series airing on Netflix.  They have my old She-Ra and He-Man dolls that they have played with since they were little, and were happy to see a new version of the iconic series available on Netflix.  While I am not usually a fan of remade or reinvented versions of classic cartoons I used to watch as a kid, I found myself really getting into DreamWorks She-Ra and the Princesses of Power series.

Yes, She-Ra looks nothing like the doll I have from my youth, or remember watching every Saturday morning, but there was something about the story line that pulled me in and had me wanting to watch more and more episodes, until the 3rd season was done, and we were all left to wait for the 4th season to release on November 5th, 2019.  Well, thankfully the wait is over, and we are busy seeing what happens next in the series.

Like I mentioned about, I was sent a mailer from DreamWorks as a way to celebrate the new Season 4 of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.  While the mailer was addressed to me, my youngest was quick to claim the collectible She-Ra doll figurine for yourself, and now has it on her bedroom dresser, to keep an eye on her, and ward off monsters under the bed. :-)

While I wish I could have snatched this collectible figure, I am glad that my daughter gets to admire it and is keeping it safe on her dresser.  When I go up to put her clothes away, I will get to admire it, and maybe even play with it. :-)  We will see...I tried to hold it tonight, and my daughter was afraid I was going to drop it, and told me to put it down. :-)  I guess she has fallen in love with this beautiful collectible figure, and I can't blame her, as it really is something to admire.

If you are looking for a new animated series to get hooked on or for your kids to watch, I highly recommend this series from DreamWorks.  It is well made, and will keep kids and adults entertained from the start of the episode, right up until the very end.

Here is more about the new Season 4 of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, streaming now on Netflix...

"Season 4 begins with the respective rises of Queen Glimmer as leader of the Rebellion and Catra as co-leader of the Horde. As the Horde makes advances on the Rebellion under the looming threat of Horde Prime’s arrival, the Princess Alliance makes heroic strides but begins to disagree on the best way to defend Etheria. Ultimately, a shocking discovery about Etheria itself causes Adora to reconsider everything she thought she knew.

In a season where relationships and power dynamics are in constant flux, there is also new character designs for Glimmer and Catra, and there’s even a special episode called “Boys Night Out” that includes a couple musical numbers.

DreamWorks She-Ra and the Princesses of Power features the voice talents of Aimee Carrero (Young and Hungry) as Adora/She-Ra, Karen Fukuhara (The Boys) as Glimmer, AJ Michalka (The Goldbergs) as Catra, Marcus Scribner (black-ish) as Bow, Lauren Ash (Superstore) as Scorpia, Reshma Shetty (Royal Pains) as Angella, Lorraine Toussaint (Orange is the New Black) as Shadow Weaver, Keston John (The Good Place) as Hordak, Christine Woods (Hello Ladies) as Entrapta, Genesis Rodriguez (Time After Time) as Perfuma, Jordan Fisher (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before 2) as Seahawk, Vella Lovell (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) as Mermista, Merit Leighton (Alexa and Katie) as Frosta, Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) as Castaspella, Krystal Joy Brown (Motown: The Musical) as Netossa, and returning for Season 4 is Geena Davis (Thelma and Louise) as Huntara."
