Are you dreaming of a white Christmas this year? While I always love waking and see fresh fallen snow on Christmas morning, as I get older, the cold doesn't seem to be my friend. Living in New England, winters can be brutal with the cold temps and all the snow we get. And this year we are expected to get a lot of snow. Ugh. My husband and I keep talking about one day moving down south where it is always warm, even in the winter months. Ahh, wouldn't thank be nice?! Walking the beach during the holidays in shorts and short sleeve shirts, as the water washes up upon our feet. I am always envious of my friends and family who live in warmer states, as they report the heat during the winter months. Some love it, while others wish they had seasons like we do. Oh, what I would give for a sunny, hot Christmas....a girl can dream, right?! And, in my dream I will be wearing my new Samara sandal from Viakix, which I was sent a couple months ago for review.

I received these oh so comfy sandals while we were having an unexpected heat wave of sorts in New England...well, it wasn't really hot, hot temps, but it was low to mid 70's the end of September into October, which is not usually the case.
I can still remember a fluke blizzard we had in October right after I welcomed my first daughter back in 2010. We ended up losing power for 4 days, and had no generator, so we had to throw out all food, and stay with family as we needed heat. So, to have warmer temperatures this past October, I only thought that this was a tease as Mother Nature planned to drop lots of snow this winter. We will see. But, oh did it feel nice to be without a fall coat and wearing a short leave shirt with sandals in CT this past October. I was getting so many compliments on my new Viakix sandals, and had a handful of people stop and ask me about them, as they wanted to get a pair. They could tell they looked comfy, and I told them they really had to get a pair to truly enjoy these comfortable sandals. I am not usually a sandal person as I need shoes with support for my feet, but when I put these sandals on, I couldn't help but smile as I knew I found not only a sandal brand I would be shopping from again soon and recommend, but that I was finally able to wear stylish sandals that offered the support my feet needed, without skimping on style. I loved how the Samara sandals from Viakix could be worn with shorts, jeans, or even a summer dress. They pair well with casual and dressy clothes, making them a must have summer shoe for sandal lovers. The sandals pack easily in weekend/overnight bags for quick trip Or ,if you have a week long vacation planned with the family or with your sweetie, you don't want to forget to pack and wear these sandals, as they will comfort your feet like a pillow as you do all that walking. I found myself not wanting to take off my new Samara sandals during October, as they were so comfy. It was a sad day when I realized the temperatures had changed and I had to say goodbye to my sandals for now. But, I will not be waiting until next summer to put them back on and enjoy, as we will be taking the girls away the end of December for a hotel stay at their favorite hotel that has a heated pool and hot tub. We usually have the pools to ourselves, and it is so much easier to walk from our room to the pool with sandals than with shoes. The girls will be enjoying swimming, and I get to lounge around in the heated pool room with my Viakix sandals and a good book. It is the perfect mini getaway before the new year, that I am looking forward to, being able to spend time with my family, swim while it snows outside, and getting to wear my Viakix sandals again (as I have missed them).
