Uncover the Mystery on DVD October 22, 2019
Coming to Blu-rayTM via Warner Archive Collection
I know what many Veronica Mars fans are doing tonight...binge watching the complete first season of the 2019 Veronica Mars reboot, which released to DVD today. I was a huge fan of Veronica Mars when it first aired on television years ago, and like so many fans of the series, hoped that there would either be a reunion show or a reboot. Well, we all got our prayers answered when it was announced that Veronica Mars was returning and would be streaming on Hulu. I ended up signing up for Hulu just to watch this much talked about series and was so glad that I did, as the first season of Veronica Mars was so good.
Just like I did with the television series, I was hoping to start a collection of Veronica Mars season DVDs so that I could watch my favorite episodes time and again. So, when I heard that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment was releasing the complete first season of the Hulu streamed Veronica Mars series, I jumped at the opportunity to review it, so that I could start a new Veronica Mars DVD collection. Even though I only received the Veronica Mars (2019): The Complete First Season DVD a few days ago, it didn't take me long to watch all 8 full-length episodes, as well as bonus content that make us this new release (available in stores and through online retailers starting today). I really enjoyed watching the episodes over again and found little bits and pieces either I missed the first time I watched the season, or forgot about. Now, I am ready for more Veronica Mars seasons, and hope this streaming series lasts for a long time...if not, I will have this and all the previous Veronica Mars DVDs from the hit television series to watch, and get my Veronica Mars fix. :-)

Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town's lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son's killer, Veronica (Kristen Bell) is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave's wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast's answer to Daytona Beach.
“You don’t need to be a superfan to get hooked on this new series,” said Rosemary Markson, WBHE Senior Vice President, Television Marketing. “Both fans and newcomers of the critically-acclaimed series alike will be in for a treat as they relive their favorite episodes from the first season, along with the Veronica Mars at Comic Con 2019 extra feature for a deeper investigation behind the scenes.”

I love Veronica Mars! I actually watched this season off of Hulu, but it's nice to know there's a DVD option for it. I find it a little confusing that they label this "the complete first season" since the show has the exact same name as the original series. In my head, this was the fourth season.
