Thanks to working on my Holiday Gift Guide -- which I will be sharing all sorts of great gifts for every member of your family, including your furry friends over the next couple of weeks -- I am getting into the Christmas spirit a little bit earlier this year. I know what you are thinking...we haven't even had Halloween, let alone Thanksgiving yet. I know, but after all the Christmas trees up in stores last week, and aisles of Christmas decorations and ornaments, it is hard not want to get excited about this time of year. Heck, there are a handful of channels on television already playing Christmas movies, and more will be rolling out their holiday line ups come next week and the the first week of November.
As I sit here now writing this post, I have my Christmas tree lit up in the background, which is so relaxing to look at. Don't worry I haven't put the ornaments on yet -- just got the tree up. The ornaments will come a little later...probably this weekend. :-) So, while I am on all things Christmas, I wanted to share a movie that is coming to theaters for one night only on November 4th (2 days after my birthday!). The movie is called Christmas Jars, and has been gaining some PR traffic online as I keep seeing ads and the official trailer on Facebook for it. If you haven't seen a post about this heartwarming movie that the whole family will enjoy, here is more information on it, along with the official movie trailer...
"Based on the beloved novel by Jason F. Wright, CHRISTMAS JARS shares the story of Hope Jensen, a reporter who uncovers the remarkable secret behind a holiday phenomenon: money-filled glass jars anonymously given to people in need. The New York Times bestseller has created a new holiday tradition that has changed the lives of people in their time of need, all over the country.
CHRISTMAS JARS is a one-night movie event that provides hope to all as we enter this special season. In theaters Monday, November 4 only, CHRISTMAS JARS is a heartfelt reminder that kindness truly is contagious."

THEATRICAL RELEASE
---
Doesn't this look like an amazing movie? Thanks to the kind folks at Lev3l Digital, I was provided with an advance screener of this movie, to watch this past weekend. I think this movie is what really got me into the Christmas spirit and wanting to get the tree up with my girls, so that we can start enjoying this magical time of year. The advanced screening of Christmas Jars was like an early birthday gift to me, as I have been wanting to see this movie ever since I saw the trailer for it last month. I even had the movie written on my calendar, and was planning to bring my whole family to see it when it arrives in theaters for one day only on November 4th. After watching the movie last night on my own, I will definitely be bringing my family to see it on the big screen, and can't stop talking about how great this movie is, and how friends and family need to try and make it to the theaters on November 4th to see it.
This definitely is one of those touching movies that will have you reaching for tissues throughout the film, as there are sad and happy parts throughout, that will have you tearing up. But, when the movie ends and the last tear is shed, you can't help but smile knowing that you sat and enjoyed such an amazing and moving movie that will inspire you to want to give this holiday season, and year round.
Based on the movie synopsis shared above, this movie is all about a NY Times Bestselling story that sparked a movement of giving through Christmas Jars filled with money. I liked the idea of filling a jar with money and surprising or gifting it to someone left fortunate, especially around the holidays. Christmas Jars is a great reminder that kindness and generosity go a long way, and can change a person's life, just with one small act of kindness, like gifting them a Christmas Jar.
Don't worry I will not ruin the ending of the movie, or tell you how the movie plays out, as I really want you to experience it for yourself. You will definitely be taken on a ride as Hope Jensen, a budding reporter, tries to get to the bottom of the Christmas Jars secret, after falling on hard times herself after a break in of her home and the loss of her mother to cancer. She thinks she is just doing research to write a piece in the about this holiday phenomenon, but ends up finding and gaining so much more, than just the story she ends up writing. This is one of those movies that you have to pay attention from start to finish, as the story comes full circle at the end. And, when the movie ends, you will be satisfied with the ending, and love how everything seems to fall into place.
I can't wait to get my hands on a DVD copy of Christmas Jars, so that I can add this movie to my Christmas movies collection, to share with my family this year and for years to come. And, I know that once your family sees this movie, you too, will want to own the movie, to watch time and again.
So, with the holidays fast approaching, why not get your family into the holiday spirit by learning the secret behind the Christmas Jars phenomenon, by heading to the movies on November 4th, to see this inspirational and heart-felt holiday with your family. This will be one movie you will be talking about for some time to come. You can order your advance tickets for the November 4th showing here.
