My girls were familiar with this "My Monster" series, as they used to have them read to them at preschool, and then asked Santa for a copy of the book so that I could read it to them at bedtime. Even though it has been a while since I had read "I Need My Monster" to my girls, they still remember the book, and were excited when I showed them the new book, "How I Met My Monster." They started talking about the story and said, "Yeah, I wondered how they became bedtime buddies in the first place." Well, now they were going to find out, thanks to this cute new picture book, available now in stores and online.

About this book:
"For ten year, our award-winning "I Need My Monster" has captivated 4-8 years olds across the nation, selling over a quarter of a million copies. Now, in "How I Met My Monster" readers can find out how the boy and his monster became bedtime buddies in the first place. This newest monster picture book works equally well as a stand-alone or as a prequel to "I Need My Monster" and "Hey, That's MY Monster!"

Just like the other picture books in this series, this new addition is filled with fun full-color illustrations that help to bring the story to life. The text is easy to understand and follow, so even the youngest of listeners will enjoy this book, especially at bedtime. We have only had this book for a short time, but my girls are back to asking for "I Need My Monster" and this new book to be read to them at bedtime.
I have to say, I am loving this new picture book. Out of the three we have read, I have to say that this one is my favorite. It is a cute story that will have kids laughing one minute, and then smiling the next. If you are looking for a new bedtime book to share with your kids, that will help them fall asleep at night, then you will have to pick up this new book and share with them. I know you and your kids will love it, just like we do!
