Enviro-Logs Firelogs Are an Easier Lighting Alternative to Firewood for Outdoor Fireplaces and Fire Pits + Clean Up is a Breeze -- Review and #Giveaway

Happy first day of Summer!  While it has been raining the past two days here in CT, we are expected to have some nice weather this weekend.  The girls are looking forward to camping out in the backyard with their Daddy, and roasting s'mores at our fire pit, along with watching a movie projected on a sheet against the house in the background.  So, Mother Nature, I hope you are reading this, and make sure you keep the rain out of the forecast this weekend. :-)  We put the tent up last weekend and it was a washout.

Luckily, we celebrated Father's Day the weekend before when the weather was warm and rain-free.  :-)  The girls helped their Daddy pull out of their outdoor lawn games, climb on toys, pitched the tent, and set up the fire pit area.  And, to celebrate the end of their 4th grade homeschooling, we cooked out on the grill, had lots of s'mores...well, maybe more chocolate and marshmallows, than actual s'mores sandwiches.  But, it was a great time, and one the girls are looking forward to having again this weekend.  Fingers crossed for better weather.

When it comes to prepping our fire pit, the girls are in charge of gathering up loose sticks and pine cones in the yard, and I have the tough job of grabbing a couple Enviro-Log Firelogs to add to the fire pit. :-)

We used to buy firewood at the market, but found it didn't burn as well, or burned too quickly.  So, we decided to try Enviro-Log Firelogs from Enviro-Logs, Inc. as this is what we use in the winter in our woodstove in the house, and they burn for hours and heat the house nicely.

After our first attempt of replacing firewood with Enviro-Log Firelogs, we found it made for a better fire pit experience.  The flames were controlled around the logs, making it easier for the girls to toast up their marshmallows.  Also, because it is the greenest and most versatile firelogs on the market and not firewood, it didn't do all that popping and spitting up sparks or wood debris into the air and onto the grass, like you get with unseasoned or wet firewood.

While I know a fire is all about the sounds, we just found it easier to use Enviro-Log Firelogs in place of firewood. And, cleanup was a breeze, as it was easier to scoop up ashes and dispose off, than half burnt up firewood.

"Enviro-Log Firelogs provide a long-lasting and clean-burning alternative to firewood.  They are also safe to cook over - Perfect for roasting marshmallows or making s’mores."

With summer now in full swing, I have stocked up on my cases of Enviro-Log Firelogs at the store, to have on hand for when the girls want to have a fire outside to roast marshmallows, or even to just sit outside and enjoy the nice summer weather, until the lit up nigh sky.  If you love hosting family and friends for summer backyard gatherings, or love using your fire pit and haven't tried using Enviro-Log Firelogs in place of firewood, why not give it a try?  You will be surprised at how well a couple logs will burn up, and how easy it is to clean out your fire pit area.
