One of my New Year's resolutions for 2019 was to make sure I was taking "me time" just for myself. Even if it is only 10-15 minutes in a day, I still make a point to have some quiet, alone time for myself, to either just relax and do some deep breathing, read a few chapters in a book, flip through a magazine, or just catch up on a favorite show. With the craziness of my daily schedule with my two girls who I homeschool, and am usually driving all around for classes and meetups, as well as tending to the house and needs of everyone in my family, it is easy to forget to make time just for me. I find myself waking at 5 AM and going until 11 PM, just to get everything done in a day. And, usually by then I find myself with a few things left on my daily to-do list that I need to move to the next day. It wasn't until I became a mom that I found there just wasn't enough time in a day to get everything done. Being a perfectionist, this has caused added stress in my life, as I try so hard to get everything done. But, I have to remind myself that there is another day, and that I am not expected to get everything done.
So, when it comes to ending my day, I make a point to take "me time" to unwind, and relax before I head to bed. I have found that this helps my mind stop going a mile a minute and thinking of things that need to be done the next day, or that I didn't get done today. I used to go to bed with a notepad and pen next to me as I would wake in the night to write little reminders I would think of. But, I found waking up one or two times to jot something down, I would lose out on much needed REM sleep and wake groggy and tired the next day. Not good when you have a full to-do list and places to be with your girls, on top of teaching them at home for a few hours. Making "me time" and taking it each day, though, has made a world of difference this year. I am finding myself more calmer as I am able to take time to relax and unwind, and I no longer sleep with a notepad next to my bed. Instead, I now have the Fosmon’s Ultrasonic Essential Oil Aroma Diffuser, which I was recently sent to review, and love it!
Not only is this an essential oil diffuser, but it is also a cool mist humidifier, which helps with my allergies, and keeping the air in my bedroom moist and not dry. Before the Fosmon’s Ultrasonic Essential Oil Aroma Diffuser I used to run both a diffuser and cool mist humidifier in my room, taking up half of my dresser. But, thanks to the Fosmon’s Ultrasonic Essential Oil Aroma Diffuser I am only taking up a small area on my end table, and can control the LED color options (color and brightness), as well as set a timer, so it shuts off in the night.
