Are you all ready for Easter? If you haven't looked at your calendar lately, you may be surprised to find that this year the holiday falls on April 21st. Last year it fell on April 1st, and now we are celebrating it near the end of April. I don't know if this is the Easter Bunny playing tricks on us with the dates, but I do know that Easter is right around the corner....11 days to be exact!
Whenever holidays, birthdays or special occasions roll around, one of my first stops is GourmetGiftBaskets.com, as I love their selection of food gift baskets. And, they are usually running great offers including free shipping, so it makes it affordable and an easy way to click and send gifts to friends and family near and far. I have even used GourmetGiftBaskets.com to buy chocolate covered strawberries and Oreo cookies, as well as seasonal cake pops and other tasty treats to add to my dessert table, leaving me more time to spend with family and friends when hosting gatherings, than in the kitchen trying to put together an assortment of desserts for all to enjoy.
Don't these look like great Easter gift ideas? The hard part is deciding between them all. :-) The kind folks at GourmetGiftBaskets.com recently sent their Adorable Happy Easter Cookie Cake for my family to enjoy, and boy did we! :-)
My oldest as soon as she saw me take it out of the box wanted me to snap a photo, just so she could take a bite. Being a blogger, who is sent products for review, the girls know I need to snap photos of the products sent first, before they can open and start playing with or enjoying. And, whenever a package arrives from GourmetGiftBaskets.com, the girls know that there is a tasty treat waiting for them inside the box. :-)
I have to say, looking at this huge chocolate chip cookie cake (12 inches to be exact) and seeing the cute yellow chicken hatching out of the egg -- all in frosting -- had me wondering if we could not eat it. It looked to cute to eat...but, then our tummies spoke and said otherwise. So, before I could grab my camera for photos, I found my daughters grabbing the iPad and posing for photos. I have to say they did a great job of capturing the Easter Chick Cookie Cake...
As you can see, my oldest couldn't wait to take a bite :-)
I don't have to bore you with details about how amazing this chocolate chip cookie cake tasted. That would just be too cruel. I will say, though, that it melted in our mouths and was so soft and chewy. With each and every bite, you got a mouth full of chocolate chips, which for a chocolate lover, is a big win. It ended up taking up a few days to eat the entire cookie cake, as our eyes were bigger than our bellies. But, that wasn't a problem, as it came with a plastic lid to cover the cookie in the tray, to save it. Paired with a tall glass of cold milk, this Easter Chick chocolate chip cookie cake from GourmetGiftBaskets.com sure did hit the spot, and got us all excited for Easter, and the Easter Bunny's upcoming arrival.
Seeing just how much my family loved this chocolate chip cookie cake, I plan to buy another one soon. Or, maybe they will surprise me...hint, hint...for Mother's Day with one from GourmetGiftBaskets.com. :-) Either way, we will be definitely getting another one of these tasty homemade cookie cakes soon, as they were delicious! I could go on and on about how great this particular Easter-themed chocolate chip cookie cake was, or how I love GourmetGiftBaskets.com, but if you follow my blog, then you probably have seen my different posts/features about their seasonal offers. I love their products, and love sharing great products, especially ones from family owned businesses with my readers.
So, with the clock ticking for Easter in 11 days, don't delay in heading over to GourmetGiftBaskets.com to place your Easter order. You can send gifts to family and friends, or order a delicious popcorn tin to enjoy with your family, or other tasty Easter treats to put out at your upcoming Easter dinner. Whatever you purchase, you will not be disappointed.
