There are only 14 days left until Christmas? Are you all done with your shopping yet? I finished up my shopping over the weekend, and now have to wrap everything, before I move to planning Christmas dinner for family and friends. This is crunch time for many families, as we all start to stress about getting everything done in time for Santa's arrival. But, with all the craziness going on, we may forget to include our furry friends into the mix.
When it comes to the big holiday dinner, do you cook up something special for your pets? Does your dog get a nice ham bone or other tasty bone to snack on while everyone is eating at the table. While we all know feeding our pets scraps from the table is not good, it is hard to resist especially with the holidays and all the food that is on the table. You can't help but want to spoil your loyal companion. But, before you through them a piece of ham or turkey, why not consider picking them up a few cans of premium dog food from Evanger's. They have been around since 1935, and I have been buying holiday dinners in a cans for my rescue pups since stumbling upon this brand at the pet store years ago. And, ever since, whenever Easter, their birthday and Christmas roll around, I make sure I have a few cans in the pantry to serve up to my dogs. Unfortunately, our oldest dog, Lily, passed away from heart failure last week on the way to vet. So, we are working through this loss, but know she is in a better place. She would have been celebrating her 17th birthday right after Christmas, and I had a can of her favorite Evanger's premium dog food ready to surprise her with. I guess, our other rescue dog, Milly will have to enjoy it, as we all think of Lily, running happy and healthy with our two other rescue pups in Heaven.
So, as you start to wind down your shopping and finalize your holiday dinner plans, don't forget to do something special for your furry friends. We were recently sent a box of Evanger's Organics Turkey with Potato and Carrots dinner, which I will serve up to Milly for Christmas Eve and then again on Christmas Day.
And, after sniffing out the box of goodies today, I surprised her for dinner with a can of Evanger's Organic Turkey Dinner.
She went crazy for this, and licked the plate clean, before looking all around for more. After having two previous rescue dogs with grain allergies, I was happy to see this line of dog food has no grain or gluten, nothing synthetic and no added water. What more could you ask for in a dog food product? Milly thought it was whisker licking good, and she can't wait to help me taste test the other Evanger's premium dog food cans/flavors we were sent.
