When it comes to condiments, do you have a must have sauce you bring out with almost every meal? For me, I like to have ketchup and BBQ sauce on hand for steak and chicken dishes. And, when I am making homemade potato fries, there is nothing better than double dipping into my favorite ketchup and BBQ sauces. Yum! Just kidding, with all the Christmas cookies and treats the girls and I have been making and sampling recently, the last thing I need is a late night snack. I wasn't sure if I could like the Curry ketchup as I am not usually a fan of curry seasoning or foods, but I have to say that it tasted good. I could see it pairing well with sweet potato fries. My youngest daughter, couldn't get enough of this ketchup. She ended up grabbing a bag of potato skips and dipping in the ketchup.
I made chicken breasts for lunch today and used the sweet mustard peppercorn BBQ sauce to give the chicken flavor. Being a huge BBQ sauce fan, I have tried my fair share of BBQ sauces over the years. Back before the girls were born, my husband and used to travel to the Atlanta and Texas for their BBQ festivals, just to sample real BBQ. After trying this and the Hot Honey Chipotle BBQ Sauce from the "Fairy Spicy" holiday gift set, I have to say that these two BBQ sauces are full of flavor and really taste amazing. I am partial to sweet and honey mustard sauces, so found myself really loving the Sweet Mustard Peppercorn BBQ Sauce.
During our Sunday Taco night last night, I put out the two taco sauces -- Uniquely Korean and Actually Spicy Taco Sauce for everyone to use. My husband and I love spicy stuff and using hot sauces so we couldn't wait to try out the spicy taco sauce. How spicy was it? It was spicy with just the right kick of heat, but will not have you running for a glass of milk to soothe a burning mouth. I love sauces like this that are spicy and give your tongue a little tingle, but aren't super spicy you regret using it.
My family and I loved sampling the Red Duck sauces we were sent, and I can't wait to try their other ketchup, BBQ and taco sauces. From the ones we have samples over the past couple days, our favorite were the spicy taco and ketchup sauces, as well as the two BBQ sauces.
