Looking for a way to break up the uncomfortable silence after Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner takes a turn and politics or family drama is discussed?  Then, reach for the oh so fun game that will have everyone asking "What's That Smell" from WowWee.  I was sent this game a couple months ago for review, but have been waiting for just the right time to pull it out and play at one of our game nights with friends.  And, last weekend I got to do just that, when friends and family came together to celebrate my youngest daughter's 7th birthday.  What better way to end a fun-filled day than by having guests scratching and sniffing cards, to try and figure out what's that smell.  And, boy are there some doozies -- think diaper blowout, extra old toe cheese and hot chunky vomit to name a few. :-)

What's That Smell? The Party Game will surely get people talking and laughing, as they try to figure out what each whiff card is.  You have to have a good sniffer...well maybe not if you don't want to remember some of these god awful smells -- in order to win the game.  When you win, you get to pick a player to suffer the Whiff of Shame, which if you are playing this party game with family, is a great way to get back at a sibling or relative. I am just saying! :-)

I have read so many great reviews about this game, and couldn't wait to try it out for myself.  So, before I pulled it out to play last weekend, I made my husband and girls lend their sniffers to smell a few of the whiffer cards, and try and figure out what the scent was.  Oh, how I wish I had the camera going for some of the cards, as it had them gagging and running to the next room to get a sniff of fresh air.  

Even though many of the whiffer cards (there are 48 mystery whiff cards in total, plus the 4 stank Whiff of Shame cards) are repulsive, you can't help but want to grab another card to rub and sniff, to see just how good your sniffer is.  

We had so much fun playing "What's That Smell" last weekend, and I can't wait to pull it out again and play with family who are coming next week for Thanksgiving.  This is definitely one of those party games that will have people talking for some time to come.  And, you will want to have tissues on hand, as people will be laughing so hard, they will be crying, when they play this game.  Oh, and be sure to download the free What's That Smell app to capture the "Whiff of Shame in all it's slow motion glory, so that you can relive this moment over and over again, and share it to all your social channels, so other can enjoy, too!
