Have you heard about the Disney a cappella group, DCappella? If not, and you are a fan of Disney movies and music from these movies, then you have been missing out. Last month, I stumbled across a press release for DCappella, and learned how this new a cappella singing sensation group came together. Disney Music Group did a nationwide search and found the best vocal performing talent in a capella and stage, and the rest as they like to say...was history.
Starting today you can pick up the new Self-titled Debut Album from DCappella, to enjoy. In addition to this debut album, it was also recently announced that DCappella would be touring North America, beginning in the new year. They will be making stops in 40 cities nationwide, with their kick off concert on January 22nd in Jacksonville, FL. I was excited to learn they would be making stops in Boston, MA and Wallingford, CT (keep reading to learn how you can enter to win 4 tickets to the Wallingford stop). Shh, don't tell my Mom, but I will be taking her in February for a girls' night out to see DCappella. She was over the other day and listened to the CD with my girls, and was singing along. When they were done, she was ordering her own copy off of Amazon so that she could listen to it in the car, on the way to work, and during her upcoming holiday shopping travels. Knowing that she was a huge fan of this a cappella group, I knew she would love to see them live. I can't wait for the show. :-)
In regards to the self-debut album, it contains songs from all my favorite Disney movies, including Frozen, Moana, Toy Story and Big Hero 6. You can see the full track listing in the shared press release below. DCappella lends their beautiful voices and gives a fresh new spin on classic Disney songs we all love to sing along to including "You'll Be in MY Heart," "A Whole New World," and "Immortals."
I brought the DCappella CD in the car the other day, and listened with my family as we drove to weekend classes for the girls. We had so much fun singing "Glory Days" and "How Far I'll Go", along with the other songs. There wasn't a song on the CD that we didn't like, or want to skip over. And, when the CD was done playing, my girls were quick to ask me to play it again. And, you know what, I couldn't agree with them more. This new album from Disney's DCappella group is amazing, and worth listening to over and over again, at home and in the car. :-)
Like I said, I can't wait for the tour stop in Boston in February, and can't wait for more CDs to be released from DCappella. Here is more about this a cappella group that lends their voice talents to timeless Disney classics. And, with the holidays fast approaching, this CD, along with tickets to the 2019 DCappella Live tour would both make great gift ideas/stocking stuffers for Disney fans, young and old.

Known for their reimagined classics from the Disney songbook and beyond, the seven dynamic voices that make up DCappella, Sojourner Brown [alto], Orlando Dixon [baritone/“The Voice”], Antonio Fernandez [vocal percussion], Morgan Keene [soprano/“Newsies”], Shelley Regner [mezzo/“Pitch Perfect” films], Joe Santoni [bass], and RJ Woessner [tenor], represent a first for Disney, who launched the brand’s flagship a cappella experience last Spring with a TV debut on “American Idol” during “Disney Night,” where the group performed classics from “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Lion King,” and “Aladdin.” That same week, they graced one of Hollywood’s most hallowed stages to open Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Live in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Most recently, they recorded four songs on the digital version of the Incredibles 2 original motion picture soundtrack."
