It is funny how kids go through phases when it comes with what toys they want to play with, the imaginative play that they do with siblings and friends. My girls are 7 and 8 years old and are now into dolls and wanting to play Mom. They have mastered how to change a diaper, proper feeding and burping, and now get to experience how having a real baby is with the fun toy, Cry Babies, which is sure to be a hit this holiday season.
Have you seen the Cry Babies commercial on television?
Here are a few quick videos of the girls playing with their new Lea and Bonnie Cry Babies the other day....
While parents may find the crying sound annoying after awhile, it is funny how the girls really get into it, and go into full "mom mode" wanting to take care of them, checking their diapers, feeding them, rocking them, etc. I had to remind the girls that this is how they were when they were newborns, and if they weren't crying, they were needing food, a new diaper or to be held. Every time I put my girls down the water works would start, followed by uncontrollable crying until I popped a pacifier in their mouth or figured out what they needed.
The new line of Cry Babies really are a fun doll for kids, with a recommended age of 18 months+. While preschoolers and toddlers will enjoy this doll, I think the real creative play will come with older girls who want to play mom.
You fill the head with water and replace the cap, and then are ready to go.
The interactive feature of needing to wipe away tears and replace the pacifier makes for a fun play experience.

More about Cry Babies from IMC Toys:
"Cry Babies are dolls with big beautiful eyes and colorful hair that cry realistic tears while sounding like a real-life baby. They each come in a different printed removable animal onesie and their own pacifier. Not only are they the perfect size for kids to carry around with them, but also have movable arms and legs for additional play-time fun! When they start crying, you can calm them down with a pacifier or by gently rocking them. Cry Babies provide hours of play, while teaching children essential nurturing skills to little ones and are a must have companion!
Here’s why Cry Babies are extremely popular with kids this holiday season…
They look extremely adorable!
They each come dressed in a cute, furry, animal-style onesie (bunny, cheetah, mouse, bear and more – take your pick!)
There are a variety of dolls to choose from, each even cuter than the other!
The dolls become little companions to children and help develop fostering skills from a young age

We received the two Cry Babies dolls the other day, and my girls can't stop playing with them. They ended up bringing them to the market yesterday and wheeled them around in the kids carriages that they had. My youngest though it would be fun to pull out her baby's pacifier, and then the crying and water works started. I wish I had my phone on me to take a video of everyone in the aisle stopping and looking for the crying baby. My girls stood there giggling, and then my youngest made the stopping cry. I had to tell a few of the customers that it was just a toy as they thought the crying was so life-like and that there was a really baby upset.
This is definitely one of those toys you will want to pick up now as they will be flying off the shelves real soon. Don't wait for your kids to ask Santa for a Cry Babies as you will be left without one come Christmas. I keep seeing the commercial on television, and my girls now that they have a Cry Babies doll of their own, can't stop playing with it, and take it everywhere they go. It is getting attention from both kids and adults, and everyone wants to see it crying, and thinks it is the neatest thing. I keep hearing from parents, 'What will they think of next?" I don't know, but for now, I know that Cry Babies is a hot toy for 2018 and made my girls' day!
