For birthdays and holidays, I like to give my girls activity books as part of their gifts. While toys are fun, the girls can get bored with them fast. I find activity books always keep the girls' attention, and provide them both with hours of enjoyment, especially on rainy or cold days, when the girls don't want to go outside, but find themselves bored in the house, with nothing to do. And, when they are under the weather, an activity usually cheers them up.
The kind folks at Button Books sent along a few of their new October Adventure Activity Books for my girls and I check out. They have a variety of themes including Dinosaurs, Castles, Pirates and Space, which you can purchase now through Amazon for only $9.99 a book.
Upon receiving, the first thing both of my girls noticed was that the activity books came with stickers. I don't know about you, but my girls go crazy for stickers. Then, they saw that these activity books contained all their favorite activities -- dot to dots, mazes, word searches, drawing and coloring pages, and so much more. The real excitement came, though, when they started to flip through the pages and saw just how cool each of these activity books were. They were filled with so many fun activities, which so much assortment. And each of the books was filled with fun, colorful illustrations that added to the fun of the different puzzles and games for kids to do.
My girls really enjoyed these activity books, and they provided them with hours of fun on the go and at home. When the girls reached the end of the book, they were quick to ask me to get them more, as they were really a lot of fun to do. So, for the upcoming holidays, I plan to pick up the castles one for both of them, and surprise them with it under the tree from Santa.
Here is more about the three activity books from Button Books we were recently sent, and my girls loved. Like I said, these activity books would make for great non-toy gift ideas for under the tree, and will provided hours of fun for kids of all ages.

I think most kids would like all three of these. They would be fun for nice stocking stuffer or even a smaller gift.
