For our movie night this past Friday we watched HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3. After seeing it in the theaters a couple times, the girls have been counting down the days until it arrived on Blu-ray and DVD, not just because they really liked the movie, but also for all the great bonus content. And, this new release, which arrived in stores on Blu-Ray Combo and DVD today, didn't disappoint in the bonus features dept....it is jam packed with awesomeness (my youngest daughter's words) My girls had heard about a sing-along being included in the bonus features section, but were all smiles when they saw that there were three scary-Oke Sing alongs to sing and dance along to. In addition to the sing-alongs, there was also a planning a sleepover feature that gives great ideas for planning the perfect sleepover with family and friends including snacks and craft ideas. My girls watched this and got so many great ideas, and now can't wait to start planning their own Spook-tacular sleepover with a couple of their friends, to watch this movie.
The bonus section also included behind the scenes footage, a dance lesson so your family can learn the "I See Love" Monster Dance, as well as a fun Vampire Make Over feature, where you can learn how to turn yourself into either Mavis or Drac, just in time for Halloween. And, if all this bonus content wasn't enough, you will also find two mini-movies, which were a huge hit with my girls, and that have been on repeat in our house since Friday, as well a read along story time read by Drac and featuring all your favorite characters from the Hotel Transylvania movie.
Like I said, we watched this movie as our Friday Night Flick, and ended up staying up late, just to watch all this great bonus content. I am not going to take up all your time talking about this great family-friendly movie, as you have probably already seen, or if you missed it in theaters, have been waiting for it to arrive on Blu-Ray and DVD to pick up and share with your family. I will say, though, that this was family's favorite movie in the Hotel Transylvania franchise so far. It did have a lot more song and dance than the others, but I think this is what it made it more enjoyable to watch. And, it was nice to see Mavis, Drac and the others outside of castle and Transylvania, and enjoying time together. My girls wished they could have taken a cruise like the one the characters in the movie went on, as it looked really fun. I would be up for it, minus all the monsters. :-)
So, if you are looking for a great family movie night movie to watch with your whole family, why not consider picking up the new HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3 movie available now on DVD, Blu-Ray Combo and Digital HD. And, be sure to watch all the great bonus content. I would have just purchased the Blu-Ray Combo just to watch the bonus content, but it was a bonus that the movie was great, and one we will be watching time and again.
