I wanted to share another great book I recently shared with my girls at bedtime that we have decided to wrap up and add to our Christmas book advent this year.  The book is called, "A Whisper in the Snow" and is about a lost teddy bear trying to find his way back home in time for Christmas.

This children's book is written by Kate Westerlund and illustrated by Feridun Oral. If your child likes magical books in which stuffed animals come to life, then they will fall in love with this cute Christmas book.  Not only will this story warm your hearts, but it will get your into the holiday spirit, through its messages of the true meaning of the season, spirit of cooperation and persistence.

We received this book last week from the folks at IPG, and couldn't wait to read it.  The girls, although not fans of the cold weather, have been hoping for snow -- even though I can do without it for a couple more months.  They fell in love with the cover art, and wondered what the book was about. When I shared the premise of the book, they couldn't wait to snuggle up in bed with me to see if the teddy bear made it safely back home, with the help of his friends.

The holidays are a time for family, and brings those we love and have missed seeing all year long back home, and this heartwarming tale is all about finding your way home and the power of hope - a perfect book to count down to Christmas, if you ask me. :-)

Here is more about this funny, yet heartwarming story, that will have your family wanting to read this book time and again...

"A touching winter story, and the third collaboration by a winning author-illustrator team
Can one lost teddy bear make it home for Christmas? The little rabbits and mice who find him in the snow certainly hope so. A lost bear means not only a sad Christmas for him, but also for the poor child missing his or her friend. Together the animals, with a little love, a little time, and a little effort, spruce up this old, shoddy teddy just in time to make a very special Christmas for his lonely owner. This is a funny and heartwarming story about the power of hope, persistence, and finding the way home."
