Delivers Engaging In-Store and In-Home Augmented Reality Experiences
I was so excited to get my hands on a copy of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, not just because the movie was so good (we ended up seeing it two times in theaters), but also because with the purchase of the DVD or Blu-ray you could scan the QR-code pattern and experience an AR experience right in your own living room. This is one of the first attempts by Facebook to lin a physical retail product and AR together. And, I had watched a trailer prior to the DVD/Blu-ray and 4K release this past Tuesday, Sept. 18th, and thought it was the coolest thing. My girls, thanks to learning about dinosaurs in our homeschooling last year, love all things dinosaurs and have played catch up watching the previous Jurassic movies before we saw Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in theaters over the summer.
The girls were so excited when they saw the 4K+Blu-Ray+ Digital copy of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, when it arrived at our door last week. They had no idea about the AR tie-ins, as I wanted to surprise them. I set it up with our iPad and then handed it off the girls after we watched the movie this past Friday family movie night. I told them I had a cool dinosaur to show them and wondered if they knew what type of dinosaur it was. As soon as they took the iPad from me and noticed the dinosaur moving about, with our living room in the background, they thought it was so neat. They kept watching the whole length of the house, and having the velociraptor Blue move jump around and bite. While I wished there were more actions you could do with the velociraptor Blue, it was a nice unexpected treat for the girls and they really liked it.
As far as the movie goes, I am not going to go in great length about the movie, as you have probably already seen in in theaters like me, or have been waiting for it to arrive on DVD, Blu-ray, 4K and Digital, so you can watch -- don't worry I will not spoil it for you. This is one of the highest grossing movies, and you will see why when you sit to watch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Like I said, we ended up going twice to see it, and could have gone a third time in we had time. :-)
In addition to the amazing movie, this new release includes so many great bonuses features for fans of the to enjoy including...
Blu-Ray Bonus Features:
On Set with Chris and Bryce
The Kingdom Evolves
Birth of the Indoraptor
Rooftop Showdown
Monster in a Mansion
Start the Bidding!

Malcolm's Return
and much more!...
4K Ultra HD Bonus Features:
4x sharper picture than HD
HDR for brilliant brights and deepest darks
Immersive Audio for a multi-dimensional sound experience
+ All Blu-ray features in 4K resolution
Not only do you get to experience a fun AR experience at home, but the movie is amazing, as are all the bonus features. This is definitely going to be top on people's wish lists this holiday season if they haven't picked up already. My girls already have Jurassic World toys on their list, and are hoping Santa will bring some so that they can pull out and play with when they watch this and the other Jurassic World box office hits we now own on DVD and Blu-ray.
Here is more about the AR experience, as well as the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom movie, now available to own on 4K, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital. Pick up now to give as a gift this holiday, or to watch with during one of your upcoming family movie nights. We can't wait to watch it again soon!
