So, by now, your kids should be back in school. How are things going? Are they still struggling to get on a sleep schedule to wake up well rested? And, how about their lunches? Have you already hit a wall with ideas on what to pack for them, that they will actually eat, and not toss or trade with someone else for a less healthy lunch? Even though I homeschool my girls, I still have to pack a lunch bag for them a few times a week for outside classes that they have, where they eat lunch or, or even eat in the car on the way to class. And, with one picky eater, I find myself struggling with variety of meals and snacks that will be appealing to them, and not having them waste. Right now we are doing a lot of veggies, cheese and crackers, fruit cups, cold cuts, cold pastas and the ever popular peanut butter sandwiches or bagels with cream cheese. If you have other ideas or lunches that have worked with your kids, share away in the comments section below as I am always up for trying new things, and know other readers are in the same boat as me when it comes to packing a healthy and fun school lunch for your child.
While the actual meal is sometimes a struggle for me, the snacks are never an issue. Go figure!. We have a few snack bins that I keep well stocked with granola bars, fruit snacks, popcorn, and other healthy snack options. The girls get to choose a few snacks to pack with the lunches I make -- that way they are choosing something they will want to eat, and can switch up based on their mood. One recent addition to their snack options is Puffworks, an organic peanut butter puff, that comes in three varieties -- original, dark chocolate and honey.

About Puffworks:
"Enjoy peanut butter in a convenient, crunchy puff.
All Puffworks products are made using simple organic ingredients. In fact, our Original Peanut Butter Puffs contains only peanut butter, corn and salt. They also come in Dark Chocolate and Honey flavors.
Our snacks are delicious, batch-made USDA-Certified Organic; Kosher, Gluten-Free and Non-GMO Project Certified.
Because of the protein found in peanuts, our puffs provide 4-5 grams of plant-based protein and help you feel full longer - and did we mention, they're delicious?!"

We were recently sent samples of the three Puffworks flavors to try out, and at first the girls were reluctant to try something new. But, when they saw it was made with peanut butter (a weakness of theirs), and then smelled how good the puffs were, they couldn't wait to reach in and grab one to try. One night after dinner, we sat around the dinner table and sampled the three flavors. My husband and I gravitated towards the dark chocolate flavor, while the girls were tied with the honey and original flavors. They loved them both, and couldn't stop reaching in and grabbing a handful of puffs to put in their snack bowls. And, when they were done, they were licking their fingers in hopes of enjoying residual peanut butter goodness. :-)
My girls were so happy they tried Puffworks, and now have a new snack they continually reach for, to have me add to their lunch bags. They like having me put together in an snack bag, the original and honey flavors , so that they can enjoy them both, without having to decide on just one to snack on. :-) And, when the girls aren't eating lunch on the go or at an outside class, they are asking me when snack time rolls around, or they need a mid-day pick me up, for a bowl of Puffworks puffs to snack on.
These puffs really have become a hit in our house, and I can't say as I know just how delicious they are -- and, shh, I sneak a few puffs when putting their lunches together or filling their snack bowls. I can't resist, as they really are that good!
If you are looking for a delicious and healthy (4 grams of protein per serving) snack to add to your child's lunch bag, or have in the pantry for after school snacking, and your family loves peanut butter, then you will definitely want to check out Puffworks.
You can purchase Puffworks online at Amazon, which is great, and oh so convenient, as I know most of you rely on Amazon like I do when it comes to ordering snacks for the family and sitting back and waiting for them to arrive at the door.
