Many kids are wrapping another successful school year this week, with many more children to follow in the coming weeks. And, you know what that means...summer vacation is here. While we homeschool year round, the girls get a couple days off of school each week so that they can attend summer camps and programs they are interested in. And, if friends want to get together for an impromptu picnic, play date at the beach, or to take in a movie, we are all for playing a little hooky from school. :-)
The other day, the girls got a special summer fun box filled with a wonderful assortment of Peppa Pig products that are sure to make summer more enjoyable when they get together with friends, or when a rainy day has them stranded indoors. Just look at the Peppa Pig goodies we were sent...
Bella was quick to claim the Peppa Pig furry purse with sunglasses. She was all excited to find that the sides of the glasses had Peppa Pig all over them. I asked her to pose for a photo, and you would have thought she was asked to walk the cat walk, as she couldn't stop posing and asking if I was getting her good side. :-) Now whenever we go out, she can't forget to bring her new fancy Peppa Pig purse filled with coins in case she finds something at the store she wants to buy. And, she can't forget her sunglasses to keep the sun out of her eyes in the backseat. :-)
In addition to the sunglasses and purse set, the girls were also sent two fun Peppa Pig games -- an oinktastic bowling set and Surprise Slides chutes and ladders type board game. My girls are all about games and couldn't wait to set up and play with the bowling set.
We have had a handful of bowling sets, but none had their favorite talking pig on the pins. And, what I liked best about this bowling set is that it was make of plastic, so it will hold up well to indoor and outdoor play, and the little bowling ball will not hurt someone if it is accidentally rolled and goes up into the air instead of staying on the ground. My girls spent the past few days playing with the Peppa Pig bowling set, and came up with fun ways to line up the pins, and new games using this fun bowling set. I definitely see this bowling set getting a lot of play time indoors and out this summer with the girls when its just them, and when their friends come to play.
Bella being Bella wanted me to capture a video of her showing off her bowling skills, so enjoy this quick video below...
The girls kept the Peppa Pig Surprise Slides game for our weekly game night this past Saturday.
This was such a fun game to play and the girls liked how you could mix and flip the tiles to change up the path of the game. We played this board game a few times, and each and every time it was different as the girls flipped the tiles for more slide options on the other side. This game is geared towards children ages 3+, and is easy to explain and play. Game play takes about 10-15 minutes, so you can get a couples games in in one sitting. We will definitely be playing this game again soon. Just this afternoon the girls pulled it from the shelf and played it out on the deck after lunch. I loved hearing them laughing and have a blast playing the game, and trying to be the Peppa Pig Surprise Slides champ. Savannah in the end, being the big sister, let Bella win, so that they could be crowned champ. :-)
And, if the above mentioned Peppa Pig goodies weren't enough, the girls were also set a fun Peppa Pig hardcover Look and Find book.
I don't know about you, but my girls can't get enough of look and find books. They love doing them at home and on the go in the car. And when it has their favorite characters in the book, it makes it that much more fun.
This was the first thing my girls played with, after Bella grabbed the purse and sunglasses for herself. They sat together on the couch and flipped through the pages trying to find the different objects in the playful and oh so colorful Peppa Pig scenes. All their favorite Peppa Pig characters were included in this book, which made it more fun, flipping through and solving each look and find page (which spans two pages each).
My girls really enjoyed this special summer fun box we were sent as part of the Peppa Pig Parents program, and had a blast helping me review each and every product. They both agree that the bowling set was their favorite, next to the Peppa Pig Surprise Slides game, a close second. If you have a Peppa Pig fan in your house, why not consider picking up a few of these fun Peppa Pig products to surprise them with as they wrap up the school year and get ready for summer vacation? They will have so much fun playing with the games and goodies you get, and it will make for a more memorable summer. How do I know? My girls can't stop talking about the stuff we were sent and have been enjoying everything every day since receiving early last week.
