In “PINKALICIOUS AND PETERRIFIC: PINKAMAGINE IT!” children join Pinkalicious and her brother Peter on adventures in the arts, creativity and self-expression. Kids will enjoy these six fun-filled stories that take place in Pinkville, a pink-loving town with a touch of whimsy. In “Pinkalicious,” based on the best-selling book, when Pinkalicious wakes up to discover her whole body has suddenly turned pink, she’s ecstatic. However, she soon discovers that you can have too much of a good thing. Then, in “Fairy House,” Pinkalicious and Peter build a fairy house to attract the Springtime Fairies. But when the fairies turn out to be noisy roommates, they decide it’s probably best if they find the fairies a better home. Other stories on this DVD include: “Pinkabotta & Peterbotta,” “Slumber Party,” “Invisible Band” and “Dancing Shoes.”
The six stories included on the new DVD are listed below.
“Pinkalicious”
If there is one thing Pinkalicious loves most, it’s the color pink! So when Pinkalicious wakes up to discover her whole body has suddenly turned pink, she’s ecstatic. However, Pinkalicious soon discovers that you can have too much of a good thing.
“Fairy House”
Pinkalicious and Peter build a fairy house to attract the Springtime Fairies. But when the fairies turn out to be noisy roommates, they decide it’s probably best if they find the fairies a better home.
“Pinkabotta & Peterbotta”
Pinkalicious and Peter try their hand at being inventors and create Robotta, a robot that can move, talk and most importantly, clean. But when Robotta malfunctions, the house becomes messier than ever. Fortunately, Pinkalicious and Peter have a backup solution to make cleaning more fun: Pretend to be robots while doing it!
“Slumber Party”
Pinkalicious hosts a Princess of Pink slumber party. But one of her friends gets home sick and isn’t sure she wants to spend the night! Fortunately, Pinkalicious and friends imagine a dragon named Gertie to protect them.
“Invisible Band”
It’s the day of the Pinkville Parade and the whole marching band has gotten sick! Luckily, Pinkalicious and her friends eagerly volunteer to perform in their stead. There’s just one small problem…they don’t have any instruments!
“Dancing Shoes”

We were recently sent the new DVD along with the popular Pinkalicious book from HarperCollins, which the girls and I really enjoyed.
We started with the book, which has since become a staple at bedtime. The girls love having their Daddy read the book as he adds funny voices when reading the story and grabs his belly and groans when he reads about eating the cupcakes.
Here are my 6.5 year olds, personal thoughts on the book:
The book is about a little girls who can't stop eating cupcakes. So goes as far as to eat them and sneak some, and she ends up turning pink. Her mother rushes her to the doctor and he tells her that she needs to stop eating the pink cupcakes and eat green foods instead, to reverse the pinkness. But, when Pinkalicious gets home, she can't resist and sneaks another cupcake. What do you think happens? She turns red.... a deep red. This freaks her out and she does what the doctor orders and eats green stuff. She turns back to normal...but, we can't say the same thing for her brother. He ate the rest of the pink cupcakes and ended up turning pink, too. Oh boy!
This story is really funny, and the pictures in the book make the story come to life. I love cupcakes, but I would hate to turn pink like Pinkalicious did...wait, maybe that would be cool. But, I would want to know that I would turn back to normal as it would not be good walking around and having people look at me funny as I was pink like a cupcake. :-)

As you can tell my girls, Bella especially really enjoyed the “Pinkalicious and Peterrific: Pinkamagine It!” book. And, to make it more fun, we followed up watching the 6-episodes that make up the new “PINKALICIOUS AND PETERRIFIC: PINKAMAGINE IT! ” DVD. The girls really enjoyed the full-length episodes which are part of the new “Pinkalicious and Peterrific” airing daily on PBS Kids. It was hard to choose a favorite episode, but the girls found themselves watching the first one about the cupcakes and her turning pink over and over again. They loved how their new favorite book could come to life in a fun animated episode.
We have only had this DVD for a couple weeks now, but the girls have already watched it half a dozen times -- at home and on the go. And, I don't see them stopping anytime soon. Whenever we head out for classes, they are quick to bring the DVD and watch it in the car. And, then they talk their friends' ears off about Pinkalicious, the DVD, and new PBS Kids series and the books they have read so far. I guess you can say I have two huge Pinkalicious fans in our house now. And, we will definitely be tuning in each day to watch the series on PBS Kids, picking up more books and adding more Pinkalicous DVDs to our collection. :-)
If your child is a huge fan of Pinkalicious, then you will definitely want to pick up this new DVD release. And, while you are at it, why not pick up a couple of the Pinkalicious books available.
We paired the absolutely adorable and colorful “Pinkalicious book, published by HarperCollins with the new “PINKALICIOUS AND PETERRIFIC: PINKAMAGINE IT! ” DVD, and the girls had a blast with them. They had read Pinkalicious books in the past and done a Pinkalicious tea party when they were little, but now that they are reading on their own, they love being able to pull a book from the book shelf and read it on their own...and Pinkalicious has become a favorite of my youngest daughter, Bella. She can't get enough of the books, and wants to me buy more. And, she is already planning a Pinkalicious party for her 7th birthday in November.
So, what are you waiting for? Why not surprise that darling girl in your life with the new “PINKALICIOUS AND PETERRIFIC: PINKAMAGINE IT! ” DVD, and some books, and make this summer Pinkalicious Perfect. :-)
