This past Friday night, we had a fun family movie night.  We ended up watching "Tad The Lost Explorer and the Secret of King Midas.  Thanks to a fun party pack we were sent from the folks at Paramount Home Media Distribution, we received the DVD for in-home viewing, as well as an explorer fedora hat like the one Tad wears, along with a journal and mini magnifying glass.  

The girls were all smiles when they saw this new DVD, which arrives in stores today, as they loved the first Tad, The Lost Explorer movie, which released back in 2013.  They had hoped for a follow-up to this fun adventure movie, and had no idea they were making another.  So, when they saw the DVD arrive at our door with the explorer goodies, they couldn't wait for Friday to arrive to watch the movie.

Doesn't this look like a fun family-friendly movie?  It really was.  We had so much fun watching, and thanks to the goodies we were sent, the girls put on their hat and grabbed their explorer notebook and magnifier and pretended to be archaeologists trying to help Tad rescue the girl of his dreams on a trip around the world.

What we loved about this movie, just like with the first Tad, The Explorer movie is that the story line is engaging and will have you laughing and smiling all the way through the movie.  My youngest, after watching the movie, said she now wants to be an archeologist and travel around the world uncovering hidden secrets and lost secrets, and maybe some dinosaur bones along the way.  :-) 

Thanks to books we have read and movies the girls have seen i the past, they were aware of who King Midas was, so when they saw that this movie was about Tad traveling to hear Sara Lavrof's presentation about her latest King Midas discovery, they couldn't wait to see what Sara found and what fun adventure this trip would take construction worker by day Tad to daydreaming archeologist on an adventure of a lifetime.

I could go on and on about how much fun we had watching this movie, but if you saw Tad, the Explorer back in 2013 or thereafter, then you know how great this Dove-Approved family friendly movie is.  And, now fans of Tad the Explorer can join him on another fun adventure that will your whole family glued to the television as you see the story unfold.  My girls can't wait to watch this movie again, and have already watched the first movie after seeing this new release, so that they could relive the fun action-packed adventure that make Tad their favorite explorer.
