My girls love doing arts and crafts and have been asking about making their own charms and bracelets so that they can make and give to their friends. After doing some searching I learned about the fun jewelry studio from RoseArt called CharMinis that lets girls create their very own unique charms simply by fusing pieces together with only water. Once, dry, you can add glitter to make them sparkle.
I was recently sent the CharMinis Deluxe Jewelry Studio, which is available at most major retailers, as well as online at Amazon for around $20.00. The CharMinis Deluxe Jewelry Studio comes with more than 100 combinable pieces, as well a jewelry stand where you can hand your newly created charm pieces to dry, as well as organize your loose charm pieces while you are creating.
This particular set allows girls to create fun sweet treats themed charms including pies, ice creams cones, as well as fashion icons (stars, hearts and butterflies).
My girls were so excited when they saw this CharMinis Deluxe Jewelry Studio as they had recently seen a commercial on television for it and thought it was the coolest thing. They couldn't believe that you could create custom charms with just water. And, as a parent who has had to clean up glue and other sticky messes, I love that all the girls need is water to make their own fashionable and fun charms that they can then turn into necklaces or bracelets, to keep for themselves or share with their friends.
Yesterday my girls spent the entire afternoon after school working with the CharMinis Deluxe Jewelry Studio. We first started by putting together the jewelry stand, which just snaps together.
Then, after reading over the instructions and filling our bottle with water, the girls were off and running creating their very own charms.
The girls had so much fun choosing from the different charm pieces that come with this set. I think that was the hardest part, choosing the right combination, as they all would look so cool. As far a fusing, this took some getting used to in the beginning, as you can have to make sure you don't have wet hands or the charm pieces will stick to you and not to each other. And, you have to be sure you don't push too hard together when fusing as the pieces may stick to your fingers when you go to add another charm piece to the mix. But, all this was part of the learning experience, and once we had a system going, it was smooth sailing.
My girls had so much fun fusing the pieces and counting to 30 each time. And, once they were done stacking and adding their charm pieces together, we added a charm loop and then hung them to dry on the jewelry rack.
In an afternoon's time, my girls were able to make over a dozen charms, including dry time and then glittering followed by an additional 20 minutes to dry. When all was said and done my girls had over a handful of necklaces and bracelets to add to their friends' Christmas gifts under the tree, as well as one special necklace they were keeping for themselves.
My girls really enjoyed the new CharMinis Deluxe Jewelry Studio from RoseArt and are already asking me to pick up the other accessory and theme packs available, including a fun animal themed charm pack, and metallic bracelet pack (each retailing for around $5.99) to add to their charm making fun.
