A few weeks ago we took the girls to an indoor arcade/amusement center and they wanted to try out laser tag. They had heard about this from friends in the past, and were so excited to try it. At this location you had to be 6+ years old to play. Bella had just turned 6, so she was ready to have some laser tag fun. Unfortunately, it wasn't what they expected. Yes, the whole laser tag part was fun, but they were grouped with a bunch of tween and teens who weren't up for having two younger kids play along. The girls kept getting pushed around or out of the way during the 15 minute laser tag game. When they came out of the room, I was expecting to hear how great it was and how they wanted to do it again. But, that wasn't the case. Instead, they just wanted to return to the arcade room to play. That night I was doing my blogger and got a request to review their Laser X products. "Wow," I thought, this email couldn't have come at a better time after our laser tag experience earlier in the day. So, I jumped at the opportunity to review the Laser X .
The folks at Laser X wanted me to try out their Complete Set, which includes the Double Set (2 Laser X Blasters with 2 receiver vests), the long range blaster with 1 receiver and the gaming tower, so that my whole family could experience the fun of laser tag at home, indoors or out, day or night. If you not familiar with Laser X and their amazing real-life laser gaming experience (this is a hot toy of the season!), check out this quick video to see Laser X in action...
Before we ran around the house like crazy people with our Laser x blasters and wearing our light up receiver vests (which keep count of how many times you have been hit), the girls said we had to practice laser shooting with the gaming tower to better our skills. So, we took turns playing against each other to see how many times we could hit the target. I, for one, found this head-to-head play really fun, especially when you are being timed and need to rely on speed and accuracy if you want to win.
After we practiced a bit, we were ready to play the ultimate high-tech game of capture the flag (just 1 of 9 games available to play with this tower) with the Laser X Gaming Tower. Oh my gosh, we all had so much fun. Even though outdoors would have been better as you could spread out and run around more, we really enjoyed using the Laser X blaster system. It got our hearts racing and blood pumping. If you are looking for a good workout, then you will want to pick up the Laser X blaster system. I can even see this fun game of laser tag being a great way for kids and adults to put down their electronics and gaming devices and enjoy quality time together. We couldn't stop playing with our new Laser X blaster system., and plan to play again tomorrow night as part of our family game night. After pizza, we will strap on your Laser X receiver vests and grab our Laser X blasters and enjoy a fun game of laser tag. Snow is in the forecast, so it will be a nice way to watch the snow fall outside, while we run around and have fun inside where it is warm.
We are going to have so much fun with the Laser X Blaster System this winter, as it keep definitely keep the girls occupied on snow days or when they can't or don't want to play outside in the snow. And, once the warmer spring weather arrives, we can take the fun outside and run around like crazy.
What is so great about these laser blasters is that they blast up to 200 feet, while the long-range blaster can reach up to 400 feet.
Day or night, whenever we are in mood for a fun family game or laser tag, all we have to do is grab our Laser X complete set and we are ready to go.
No more being disappointed at an indoor amusement park because the big kids don't want to play nice when it comes to group laser tag. We can have more fun at home with family and friends whenever we want!
So, if you are looking for a fun family gift to give your family this holiday season, why not consider picking up the Laser X blasters and gaming tower. Like I said, you kids can play solo, as as a group. And, what is so cool about the Laser X sets is that they all work together, so if kids in the neighbor get a set or you buy a few double sets to accommodate your large family, you will be happy to know they all work together.
So, the sky is the limit to have many people you can have joining you and your family for a fun game of laser tag, anywhere and anytime. :-)
"Do your kids love video games? Laser X will get them off the couch for a fun game of laser tag with an updated, technologically-advanced laser blaster system.
All-new Laser X features sophisticated electronics and optics that give players pinpoint blasting accuracy up to 200 feet.
All Laser X sets work together, so games can have as few as two players – or the whole neighborhood can play together. Advanced sensors in the Laser X blaster know when players are blasting, being hit, running or hiding. An interactive "coach" uses this information to give players tips and tricks throughout the game.
The receiver vest keeps tracks of hits. After 10 hits, players are eliminated from the game. Players can choose to be on teams or select "rogue" mode where it's every player for his or herself. "
Laser X can be played outside in bright sunlight or in the dark. It is available in sets that equip two players for $49.99 or that equip one player for $24.99 at Target.com and other retailers.
