Are you a fan of personalized children's books? I love surprising my girls with personalized books for their birthdays and the holidays. Recently I found out about Penwizard and had the opportunity to review one of their children's books, which I personalized for Savannah, and had them include Bella's name in the story, too. Savannah is a huge Paw Patrol fan and this is the first time I saw a personalized children's book featuring Paw Patrol for kids, so I jumped at the opportunity to review "My Christmas Adventure with the Pups" and share my thoughts with you.
The personalization part was easy -- just a few questions and then you are ready to place your order. The hard part is choosing the book out of so many wonderful options including Peppa Pig, and popular Nickelodeon characters including TMNT, Dora the Explorer and even Spongebob Squarepants. As far as Christmas books, the folks at Pen Wizard have the following titles available...
See, I told you the hard part is choosing the book, as they all look good and would be well received by children this holiday season. I plan to personalize and buy The Snowman and the Snowdog to add to our Christmas Eve box, as we love reading this classic book and watching the movie as Christmas nears.
Within a few days of ordering the Paw Patrol personalized book from Pen Wizard, the book arrived at our door. Savannah was all smiles when I showed her the book. At first she had no idea she and Bella were included in the story. But, when she sat down on the couch to read the book with Bella and saw her name appear, following by Bella's, she thought it was the coolest thing, and couldn't stop reading. And, for the rest of the afternoon she walked around with this book and couldn't stop showing it off.
While other personalized book sites include photos of your child, Penwizard just includes their names and personal information like where they are from and their friends. I don't mind this as I have found my girls continue to read books with just their names in it compared to books I have added photos of them in the past. They think the older books are now baby books as they don't look like the photo anymore. So, to get more use of the personalized books, I like just having their names without photos.
As far as the story, it was really cute. Santa lost his magic star that helps his sleigh fly, after crashing into a snowbank. It takes all the Paw Patrol and help from my two girls to help repair Santa's sleigh, gather up the presents, find the magic star, and then help Santa deliver all the gifts so kids don't wake on Christmas morning to no gifts under the tree. Paw Patrol fans will go crazy for this story and all the fun illustrations featuring their favorite Paw Patrol pups. Savannah couldn't stop smiling while reading this book. She felt so special to have her name in a book along with her favorite Paw Patrol pups.
Why not consider giving a cute personalized book to your child or that special child in your life. Toys are nice, but the joy of reading and having a book made especially for them is even nicer.
