The complete series of Pokémon X•Y in a collector’s box set!
Do you have a Pokemon fan in your life? My husband was a fan, and got our youngest daughter, Bella, into the show, books and card collecting. Now, whenever he gets home from work, they find their spot on the couch and will watch one of Bella's many Pokemon DVDs or one from streaming. They can't get enough of this show, and like most Pokemon fans, they really get into the show. All I hear when the two of them are watching Pokemon is "Pikachu I Choose You", or another character from the episode they are watching. Then, I see Bella getting off the couch and acting out the scenes. It is nice to see my husband and daughter connect and spend quality time together watching something they both enjoy.
And, when they are not watching Pokemon on television, they will oftentimes grab one of Bella's Pokemon books to read together. At bedtime, when it is my husband's time to read with Bella, she will usually pull one of her Pokemon books of the shelf and have him read it to her. I love listening in and hearing them talk about the characters and how cool they are.
So, when I heard that the Pokémon X•Y manga series was being released in a complete box set recently, I jumped at the opportunity to review it, as I knew two Pokemon XY fans who would love to help me review the book -- contains all twelve volumes in the box set, available now in stores and online.
If you are not familiar with Pokémon X•Y, it is a popular video game. Yes, Pokemon is not just a show. There are different spin offs of the show, including books, video games and other television and movie versions. If you want to know more let me know and Bella will be happy to school you on each and how they are different. :-) She did this with me when I showed her the box collection and got it mixed up with the Ruby & Sapphire book, she was reading the other day with my husband. :-)
The Pokémon X•Y Complete Box Sett is filled with Awesome adventures inspired by the best-selling Pokémon X and Y video games! All your favorite Pokémon game characters jump out of the screen into the pages of this action-packed manga! Start with volume 1 and move on through the twelve volumes of this amazing book series. My husband and daughter are already halfway through this box set, and can't get enough of it. I have even found Bella grabbing a book from this box set so that she can draw a picture of the characters, to show my husband when he gets home from work.
