Available Tomorrow on Blu-Ray/DVD -- The Gumby Movie -- Enter to #win a Copy Now! -- Review and #Giveaway

Disclosure:  I was sent a screener copy from the vendor in exchange for an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

One of my favorite childhood shows growing up was Gumby.  I used to watch this show before church on Saturdays with my brothers.  Not only were the cartoons fun to watch, but they always had a positive message or lesson, that even the youngest of viewers could pick up on.  I, for one, was a huge Pokey fan. How about you? Hard to choose between Gumby, Pokey, Prickle, Goo, etc., right? :-)

Being a huge fan of the clay-animated series Gumby, you can only imagine how excited I was when I found out the folks at NCircle Entertainment were releasing The Gumby Movie -- in stores tomorrow, Sept. 5th.  Not only could fans enjoy this full-length movie with all the scenes intact, but fans of the show will also score a fun storage case, as the Blu-ray/DVD combo comes in a plastic Gumby head case, which is really neat.

I was so excited when I received my advance copy of The Gumby Movie on Friday, as I knew it would make for the perfect addition to our weekly family movie nights.  My girls have never seen Gumby, even though I passed down all my Gumby and Pokey plush to them.  So, I knew they would be just as excited to see the movie, as I have talked about Gumby ever since they were little.  If they had Gumby bedding for kids, I would have bought it for their beds. :-)

Here is more about the new full-length (90 minutes in total) The Gumby Movie, which like I said you can pre-order from Amazon now, or pick up in stores starting tomorrow...

About this new NCircle Entertainment release:

"Take a magical romp with the world's most popular clay boy in The Gumby Movie. For the first time, you'll enjoy this heartwarming adventure, fully re-mastered from its original film rolls. This is the complete movie, with all its scenes intact. This clay-animated masterpiece was written and directed by Gumby Creator Art Clokey, and showcases Gumby, Pokey, Prickle, Goo, the Blockheads, Professor Kapp, and introduces the Clayboys and singing sensation Tara. Gumby rocks out with the Clayboys for a concert benefiting local farmers. But things go awry when Gumby's arch enemies, the Blockheads, dognap his pet pooch, Lowbelly! Bad turns to worse when the Blockheads also kidnap the band...and replace them with clones! The battle between Clayboys and clones is filled with trains and planes, knights and fights, thrills and spills! True to classic Gumby adventures, The Gumby Movie takes viewers in and out of books, to Toyland, Camelot, outer space and beyond! The Gumby

Movie Bonus Features include: Photo Gallery and Behind the Scenes."

We had such a great time watching The Gumby Movie on Friday.  Even my husband, who never saw the clay-animated series as a kid, sat for the whole movie and enjoyed it.  It reminded me of the clay-mation Raisins, which was another one of my childhood favorites to watch.  Both of my girls enjoyed the movie, especially with all the adventures Gumby and Pokey went on.  And, whenever they were faced with a struggle or having to battle bad guys, the girls were on the edge of their seats rooting Gumby one, who always came out on top.

My girls can't wait to watch this movie again, and I am looking forward to it, too.  This is one movie that the family will be enjoying for years to come.  Hoping more Gumby DVDs are released, so we can start our very own Gumby DVD collection. :-)
